Author File Description
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
The King of Arad attacked the camp of the Children at Israel (all 13 tribes, not just the Jews) and has taken captives. Joshua and Caleb have assembled the most experienced Israelite warrior units and has set up a forward campsite in preparation for the rescue of the captives. The Mighty One of Israel has instructed Joshua to free the captives and destroy the Arad Canaanites. In response to their vow of fidelity, He promised intervention and success to the Children of Israel.

The scenario has:
Dawn-Day-Dusk-Night cycles
Awards for destruction of Arad Town Centers
Food (manna) gathering by Villagers
Required animal sacrifices
Upgrade of recruits to hero warriors

EazY_Ben no it didn't. Your review was most probably retracted because it was awful and inconclusive.
Roland Rushmore Could you elaborate and explain "awful and inconclusive"? Is this the map, the play structure, the scenario, the documentation or the inexperience of the person making the review.
EazY_Ben 2 word answers in a review are not acceptable. You cannot hand out a 4 or a 2 without saying why. A review is to help the designer do better next time, and to tell them what they did well at etc. Yours did not. Simply saying 'The map design was good' is not enough. It tells the designer nothing. Both your reviews were retracted by the mods for the simple reason that they were not conclusive or informative to the designer. Period.
auron 2 can you teach me how to use acrobat reader? the way you show the story and the scenario in general with this program was very good. well detailed story. but i havent finish playing this scenario.

Map Design5.0
Playability: 4
(The small size of the armies and the fact that you couldn't build much made it very simple. On the other hand, training each recruit one by one was tedious. After a few tries, you can get a feel for how to make sacrifices on time, which was hard at first.)

Balance: 5
(The balance was very good. It took me about 6 or 7 tries to get it on moderate difficulty. The fact that my losses happened quickly made this not a big let down.)

Creativity: 5
(Very creative, taking a historical battle and making up a sacrifice system, night and day, leader units like Kaleb and Arad.)

Map Design: 5
(The map design was good, with 5 town centers, hills, a river, and forests. The night day shift was cool.)

Story/Instructions: 4
The story was pretty cool with a historical battle. The instructions were bad, but you could still use them to win. For example, I had to read the hints section of the instructions to know how to train units. And I wasn't given instructions saying that I lose if I kill Arad before I destroy the five town centers. Yet that is what I did, and then I lost automatically.

Additional Comments:

This was a cool scenario. I like the night/day times, the sacrifices with the burning rocks and the flame going to the sky, and the priests. Training the soldiers was tedious, but it was cool too, because it was different than what we are used to. Not being able to build much was ok, because it was an interesting tactical change.

I was only able to build 3 towers, after which the tower icon wasn't visible in the citizens' menus. This may or may not have been a mistake.

Also, once I destroyed the 5 Town Centers, Arad walked out of his fort and lamely attacked my headquarters by himself. I doubt you intended this.

I recommend the designer provide his email or submit a link in the "Comments Section", saying where we can find sequals to this game, because it was good.
