.:ORIGINAL STORY:.
According to the Hylian scrolls, the mythical Gods descended from a distant
nebula to the world that was and created order and life. The God of Power
dyed the mountains red with fire and created land. The God of Wisdom created
science and wizardry and brought order to nature. And the God of Courage,
through justice and vigor, created life-the animals that crawl the land and
the birds that soar in the sky. After the Gods had finished their work, they
left the world, but not before creating a symbol of their strength, a golden
triangle known as the Triforce. A small but marvel portion of the essence of
the Gods was held in this mighty artifact, which was to guide the
intelligent life on the world of Hyrule. Although it was an inanimate
object, the Triforce had the power to bestow three titles which gave the
person who received them great powers: The Forger of Strength, The Keeper of
Knowledge, and The Juror of Courage. From its hiding place in the so-called
golden land where the Gods placed it, the Triforce be koned people from the
outside world to seek it in the hope that someone worthy of these titles
would find it. With their magic infused blood, the Hylian people were
endowed with psychic powers and skilled in wizardry. It was also said that
there long, pointed ears enabled them to hear special messages from the
Gods, so they were held in high esteem by many people in Hyrule. Their
descendants settled in various parts of the world and passed on their
knowledge and magical lore to all people. But in its passing, the lore was
often distorted or lost altogether.
In Hyrule, there are many Hylian buildings which are mentioned repeatedly in
the Legends. These buildings, which now lie in ruin, pale shadows of their
former splendor, are closely tied to the Triforce. Some were said to have
the Triforce itself...If it were only a symbol of the Gods, the Triforce
would be coveted by many. But a verse from the Book of Mudora made the
Triforce even more desirable And so, on an ill-fated night, a new chapter in
the legend of Hyrule's hero begins - a new chapter in The Legend of Zelda!
The Legend of Zelda a link to the Past. Aeons ago, the dieties of power,
courage, and wisdom decended to the world of chaos. They created the world
that we know today and left behind a symbol of their strength, the golden
emblem known as the triforce, which they hid in the golden land. After many
years, an opening was found that led from our fair Hyrule to the Golden
Land, where the mystical triforce was still hidden. Many sought treasure in
this place, but none returned-only beings of great evil emerged from the
Golden Land. The King of Hyrule gathered the sevens sages to find a way to
seal the entrance to the golden land so that his kingdom would be safe from
the evil there. The sages succeeded and brought peace again to hyrule.

Playability: 5
First of all, I would like to congratulate you on a job well done! This scenario is amazing and in my opinion ranks among the greatest ever multiplayer scenarios, along with the like of Horse race, world map and Myth Blood.
This map is so interesting. Theres lots of surprises around almost every corner-it would take a long time for anyone to get bored of this map! I liked all the cool features and secrets. The ablilty to pick the game-type is a winner too :). All the quest-var randomized events, relics, animals and weather make it all the more better and fun. Some day soon this is going to take off on ESO (if it doesn't lag :()! The only problem is that its all the same map not an RMS...but that can't really be helped...
Balance: 5
The Balance is fine, no problems here. I didn't find anything so powerful that 1 player would win easily. All players have equal opportunity to get settlements..no problems with the balance.
Creativity: 4
I would have given you a five here, if it was not for the fact that you didn't acctually think of the map or story. But it seems a very good representation of the game (I have never played link to the past) but its the kind of thing that makes me want to play it!
The map design was great...
Map Design: 5
Like I said, I thought the map design was great. The brdges and the fortress especially. I really liekd the way you did them.
There was no part of the map that wasn't filled up or accounted for.
The only hitch i have it that some of the settlements appear in very small and cramped places, making it impossible for you to build a major base around it...but thats only a minor flaw in this great map.
Story/Instructions: 4
The story in the spotlight was cool. The instructions were clear. You didn't write the story however...but that deosn't really matter...
Additional Comments:
A really great scenario that I think ranks among the top 10 or maybe even top 5 multiplayer scenarios for aom.
Well worth the Download! |

For anyone not familiar with Hyrule, this map may seem like a average random map. It plays like a random map at first but the differences start to show themselves unexpectantly turning a sure victory for one team into a win for the other. I think it was a good idea to start in Cinematic mode while the triggers loaded.(wish I had thought of that) I had to be careful where I placed my buildings in the tight places because more than once my units got stuck when I tried to move too many through.
Balance: 5
The map is slightly different each time you play it so not even a veteran player of this map has an advantage over a first timer. Each player has an equal opportunity to establish a base because you all start in the same place. The only unbalancing part of this would be due to the players skill.
Creativity: 4
The different seasons to start was very original. Dont expect to be going on any adventures here. The victory conditions are standard and it is still all about build and destoy. I wont knock off any points because Hyrule is an established universe but I would have liked to see a different way to win like capture all the relics or control all the spots.
Map Design: 4
Anyone can see the amount of effort put into this map. Countless hours must have been sacrificed to make each section. I feel it was the intention of the author to make this map as exacting as possible to Hyrule. And it is very close. Maybe too close. It reflects the limited graphics available when the map was published by Nintendo. I would have given a five it wasnt so exact.
Story/Instructions: 4
Although this scenario includes an awsome background story there is only one objective. I also felt that besides sharing the scenary there really was no link between the game and the story. Very nice spotlight page. Could you do one of those for me? :)
Additional Comments:
I played this on a LAN so I am not sure what issues may arrise on ESO. Also I only played 2 player games so LAG was not an issue. I recommend this game to anyone looking for something different in multiplay. Unlike most multiplayer maps the winner of this one is not determined to the very end of the game.[Edited on 04/09/04 @ 10:55 AM]
