Count Dracula

By EazY_Ben (EaZy, Ben_)

It was so tempting. The diamond was just sitting there, in the shop. The jeweller had just gone out of the room, it seemed the perfect opportunity. You Grabbed the diamond, and at that exact moment, two members of Gormine’s armed guard came round the corner, and you had the largest and most valuable diamond known to man in your hands. They looked at you, and started closing in. You looked from side to side, trying to see if there was a safe exit. The guards were getting closer, and were blocking the only way out, apart from the chimney. You leapt towards the empty fire place, the diamond still in your hands. Putting the diamond into your leather pouch, you held onto the first rung on the chimney. And with all your might, you climbed. You were very far up the chimney before the guards were at the bottom. But still you climbed.
When you got the top, you could see the roofs of all Gormines houses. You ran over the roof of the house you had just been in, and threw yourself on to the next. By that time, the guards had caught up and were just coming out of the chimney. You knew that if you were caught, exile would be the lightest charge. You ran on, but your tired legs gave way and at that moment you tripped over and fell down the three storys to the pebbled path below. You didn't remember anything else after that....

As you had guessed, exile was the lightest charge. The ship left the port of Gormine early that morning. As the shore got further and further away, the more you and more you realized that you would miss it.
Three weeks past before you arrived at your destination, the terrorized land of Hagdan. Legend has it that a terrible blood-sucking vampire, that goes by the name of Count Dracula, has been killing and terrorising this land for many century’s. What would be there?
You were given a map when you were thrown ashore.
'The only way you'll ever go back to Gormine is if you kill Dracula!' smirked the guards as they threw you off the ship.
The map says that there is a town called Betheran, you must go there to find shelter and work. Good Luck.

Frazzaman Playability: 4
it was fun to play though difficult and confusing in some parts.

Balance: 5
it took time to complete and had a good dificulty balance.

Creativity: 5
very creative and well thought out.

Map Design: 4
a good map though slightly plain in some parts.

Story/Instructions: 4
good objectives that were fun to complete though some were quite confusing and very hard to complete

Additional Comments:
the story line was good though it might be better to include an opening cinimatic or speach to explain why Jason is there, also on the quest to kill the troll i went back to the temple but there was no villiger there so i couldnt complete the quest. all in all it was a good game to play

Its just as bad as the one that gave me a three, instead of saying its crap it says its good, but, it does give one way to improve the scenario.

Also, most of the bad points he stated were rubbish. The hespideraties tree is not supposed to work, the ridiculous thing he said about how he could 'win the game with one collosi' and the teleporter does work. And at the end Jason does not become invunerale. His review is useless!

The Bard It's probably a bad idea to get myself drawn into this discussion, but - Ben, you should remain true to the facts:

The teleporter really DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I already told you so in my own review, and also how to fix it. (At least four people complained about that!)
Jason DOES get 100% armor in the end.
I have no idea if the tree was supposed to work or not. But players will expect it to work, that's why they'll scream "bug!".

I mentioned these problems and a couple of others our good doctor mentioned myself, I hope you don't consider my review 'rubbish' as well.

As for the balance - well I don't know about the single Colossus, but I made it to the endfight without loosing more than a single hippikon...

But be that as it may, the thing I really wanted to say (sorry, just got carried away...) was that you should take your own advice from two or three pages back: "AOM shouldn't be taken so seriously." You'll sleep much better afterwards.

Jason gets 100% armour, but he is not invincible at the end.

The teleporter works, i have tried it lots of times, remember, it only transports Jason.

Oh, and we should all remember:
Arguing of the internet is like running the special olypics: Weather you win or not you are still retarded.

:P Don't feel offended by that, i didn't make it up :P

dr nefarious Oh Ben, cut it out! Your childish reaction and your insults to me only show that you want good ratings not honest feedback. The way to improve your scenario should be clear, get rid of the bugs I mentioned. I thought I did not need to explain that to you. Not my comments are rubbish, rubish are your answers to them.

My comments are at least as detailed as those of 'villi' and 'glorfindels army', but I did not read you complain about them! But both are members of your own design team, and both gave you high ratings, so I do not expect fairness from you here.
Members of a design team should not review the scenarios of a friend. A scenario should get a high rating because it is good, not because the author has many friends. :-(

AoMPlayer - thank you for your support.

Frazzaman - call me dr suspicious, but I wonder if you existed before Ben read my review... :-(

Well, if youir gonna accuse me of that, ask the mods if the IP adresses are similar. If they are, then make more ridiculous accusations. I think you'll find they are not.
