This is the mod that evilsquirel requested back at the AI/RMS Scripting and Modding discussions forums. It contains two new units.
1. A Black Phoenix with blue flames.
2. A Black Phoenix with blue flames but also blue veins.
Now to be honost neither one of these units look black. They are designed to but the phoenix model seems to alter the textures to almost a complete transparent. Nevertheless this mod still looks decent and is worth a look. The units use the phoenix's original sounds. But there is no data editing so there will be stars at the begining of the units names in the editor. I did not include the data file because I thought it was a bit too much for just two new units. Also I was unable to find the phoenix's fire effects texture files "fire shoulders, body, ect." so I substituted them with generic medium flame that I modified. Installation help is included in the zip.
WARNING: This mod will effect the generic medium flame color. So any other unit that uses this effect will have a blue flame instead of the original.
@ evilsquirel: I am sorry this isn't quite what you wanted. This is the best I could come up with at this moment. Until prt files can be edited there isn't much else I can do. I'm pretty sure you can alter the names of the units with triggers to get rid of the stars.
prt files are the special effects for the game. Like fire, snow, rain, clouds and such. As far as I know at this time there is no way to edit these files without an expensive program.

If i can't edit .prt files, does that mean i will not be able to change the implode god power to the seismic charge seen in Star Wars?? :(

Well the only thing I can think of that would be close enough to what you are wanting is heka gigantes special. You cant change the colors or the actual size of the visiul effect but you can change its attributes through proto(x).
