AoM: The Titans |
Primrose Path version: 20040402
All the resources on this map are on a path that leads from each players starting town center to the middle of the map. Barren cliffs with a few relics and wild beasts fill the remainder of the landscape.
This is a relatively simple map with no water nor triggers.
The script will work with either AoM TT or AoM vanilla.
Each game is likely to have different terrains, animals, trees and cliffs.
Refer to the readme for more details and installation.
Enjoy! |

Kjelli,
Vanilla Aom is just the orginal AoM before The Titans expansion.
What do you mean by "make the Random map work"? It was scripted in notepad and is selected in the AoM Single Player, Random Map menu.

Well I played that RM with the really nice name and I had a good time playing it , so I reviewed it.
Rating: 4
A really funny RM with simple strategies but surely LOTS OF FIGHTING, mostly around settlements and goldmines, but also sneak attacks out of nowhere right to your starting base!
The idea was easy to find, but though interesting and funny! I liked the idea of some magical lines full of foliage and resources right in the middle of the desert!
On the other hand I would appreciate some more realism in the map, especially in the desert part, where some ponds - maybe oasis - and some palm trees would add to the map a lot.
Additional Comments:
A nice stuff, though there are are ways to make it even better, like secrets in the desert - maybe secret resource sites, like a gold mine on a cliff near the corner of the map, guarded by some lions :-D .
What about a King of the hill version? That would rock! |

Gidronaris,
Put "map icon" in the "Search for" in the upper left of this screen, select "go"; then find and download "Random Map Icon Generation". Read that and see if it helps.[Edited on 04/07/04 @ 03:52 PM]

Kjelli,
Making a random map can be a very complicated process, depending on how much you know. I suggest you go to the AI, RMS and Modding forum, search for "script" and read some of the posts to get started. |

Kalus, can't believe you read it close enough to find that. BTW I noticed that Beach Battles TT has more downloads than Iceland. Expecting Primrose Path to pass it soon. CiS. |

He didn't need to read it, just load it in AOM with the debugger enabled and it finds those things. :) |
