Atlantean Titans anim file

Author File Description
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
If you enjoy playing one of the Atlantean civilizations, this modified titan atlantean_anim.txt file will let you release the titan that you worship instead of the generic black, crystaline titan.

For example, if you worship Gaia, you release the Gaia titan.

(Important: If you already have a modified titan atlantean_anim.txt file in the /Age of Mythology/anim folder, rename it before unzipping this file.)

Unzip the downloaded file to your /Age of Mythology/anim folder.

DreamOfTheFayth Okay, I got first download!

But...where do I put it when I download it? You didn't give any instructions!

Congratulations on first download.

As for instructions, the line that reads;

"Unzip the downloaded file to your /Age of Mythology/anim folder."

may be a clue.

Invisible Man Yes, but what if you worship Oranos? I'm sort of doing a Hekate mod, but it might not work.

If you worship Oranos (Ouranos in the anim file), you will release Prometheus, per the titan prometheus_anim.txt file.

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to get him to use his special attack where his fire balls turn into prometheans. (Maybe that was a special trigger in the campaign? Don't know.)

If you're working on a Hekate titan, you can replace the Ouranos section in this anim file with what you're modifying.

It's ok, it does what it says on the tin, but it would have been nice if the titans were your own units, I mean it doesn't feel right having a really weak version of Kronos, and oranos as prometheus, maybe you should have it so that if you chose atlas in the fourth age as yours god then he would be the titan and the same with hecate and so on

Additional Comments:
I have been know to ask a bit too much of designers, I hope it won't be too hard for you. I saw the length of the anim script (although I am almost certain you did not write most of it) and you obviously put in an awful lot of effort into it.
Dnas "Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to get him to use his special attack where his fire balls turn into prometheans. (Maybe that was a special trigger in the campaign? Don't know.)"

It's in the protox code.

Awesome! I've always wanted to do this myself, and know yo've done a FANTASTIC job of it!

Additional Comments:
I think giving prometheus his promethean spawn attack would make him too powerful, and even able to beat other titans more easily.
dark_master Then Gaia would have an advantage over Kronos and Oranos because she is too powerful.
aom_alm What if you lay against other teams oranos vs greeks? prometheus with 175 attack and gaia with 150 the other titans only have 7000 hp and 70 attack.
