=======KARPUNK´S ELVISH DRUID MODPACK=============
First, i hope u like and enjoy this modpack!!!
Here is Karpunk again with a new female unit!!!
(Eeeeeeeh...... sorry if my english is a little poor, ok?)
The Elvish druid is a new unit mod, but there´s three new units and a new tech in the file so i can say is a modpack.
Elvish druids are nature mages. In closed contact with their environment, they protect it and it protects them.
Elves are friendly with all kind of animals, and can get help from them when is needed.
Due to their natural affinity, Elvish druids can summon forest wolves and ancient wolves in combat by training them by herself.
Ancient wolves are the most powerful and older between their eqquals. In a beggining, the druid only summons forest wolves and a new tech called "Call of the ancients" allows Elvish druid to summon Ancient wolves.
I made it as norse unit cause i think norse is the more "fantastic" civ. in the game, (fantastic of fantasy), there
are dwarves (and even in their history appears the name of tolkien) and runes and all of this...
The unit is powerful but very expensive (500 gold and 15 favor) and the tech to train Ancient wolves costs 200 food, 200 gold and 25 favor. The forest wolves 50 food, 5 favor and Ancient wolves 150 food, 10 favor.
Elvish druid is a wolves´ walking factory, good healer and has a ranged attack not too powerful but good against myth units (She is a norse hero).
The wolves are huntables, i mean they can be killed (hunted or supr.) and used as meat resource by villagers, so Elvish druid has strategical variations, offense, economy...
The unit has a buildlimit of 5, i mean u only can train 5 of them, they are powerful...
Maybe she is too powerful, so your comments and tips to fix the file and make it more balanced will be wellcome
In my language i could write a better description and history, but in english is hard...

The zip file includes:
_Three new anims: "Elvish druid_anim", "Forest wolf_anim" (with a variation logic; forest wolves appear with 4 different textures, ey! i took a pair of textures of QUETZELCOATL´s wolf texture mod, if this become a problem i will edit the upload without them, ok?), and "Ancient wolf_anim".
_Four new protos: Elvish druid. proto, Forest wolf.proto, Ancient wolf.proto and Settlement level 1.proto (I made that the unit and the new tech (Call of the ancients) could be trained in the norse town center.
_Three new snds(sound): "Elvish druid_snds", "Forest wolf_snds" and "Ancient wolf_snds".
_Six new textures (ddt): "Elvish druid.ddt", "Elvish druid head", "Forest wolf map.ddt","Brown wolf.ddt",
"Grey wolf.ddt" (these last two textures are made by QUETZELCOATL, and u can find them with higher resolution on http://aom.heavengames.com/downloads/, ok?) and "Ancient wolf map.ddt",
_Eight new icons: "Elvish druid icon", "Elvish druid icon 64", "Forest wolf icon", "Forest wolf icon 64", "Ancient wolf icon", "Ancient wolf icon 64", "Improvement Call of the ancients icon" and "Improvement Call of the ancients icon 64".
_Techtreex.xmb: Where is included the new tech (bottom) and the "summoning", effect for the Elvish druid´s wolves training
(think that are included the motsognir the mighty´s techs too. What a great mod!!!) and variations of all norses´third ages including the Elvish druid training.
_Screenshot-collage: To take a look to the unit before installing... or not! (i think she is really beautiful...!!!)
In fact the most of the upload size is due to the screenshotand and the language.dll file
_Xpacklanguage.dll:This is optional. The features are: rollovertextid for the units, not "*** "at the beginning of unit´s name and the correct name of the new tech. if u paste it, make a backcopy of ur original xpacklanguage or u can edit ur own xpacklanguage.dll (or language.dll) with vachu´s text editor.

_Install and uninstall instructions.
I hope u like it, this is a little complex mod so it´s almost sure that has bugs, please comment it, i will fix it, ok? =====AND RATE IT!!!!!======

Um the auto installer putted the files in (((Age of Mithology)))
You spelled the directory thingy worng

Sorry but im new on installing mods so could you tell me where to put each file. It would be helpful.And where can I get vachus editor

Hi, bad_boy!
If u don´t have any mods installed on your game, i recommend u to put the file xpacklanguage.dll in your main age of mithology folder (suposse it will be: program files/microsoft games/age of mithology) but first look for the original file (xpacklanguage.dll)and make a backcopy. This for the texts.
Run the installer if the new unit have one,(be sure it is installed on program files/microsoft games/age of mithology, ok? If it hasn´t a installer, u will have to paste the files on each folder, the textures files on mithology textures folder, icons on textures/icons folder, anim on anim folder and sound on sound folder (all of them in your main age of mithology main folder).
And for the protox and techtreex;
If u don´t have installed any mod, put the techtreex.xmb file in your age of mithology/data folder, ok?
The proto, if u want i can send u a copy of a complete proto with mods installed, so u only have to paste it in the data folder, but if u want to learn to do it by yourself, u can find the aomed in the utility programs section i think, ok? u can find text and object editors too.
Once u have the aomed, install, and run it, u will see a button that says: set input data file. click in, look for program files/microsoft games/age of mithology/data.bar and click, then create a folder wherever u want and rename it to data (or something like that...) in aomed click "folder to extract into" and select the folder u have created, then click in read data file.
Once finished the conversion, do the same with data.bar2 (if u have installed TITANS).
Finally in the data folder u created, u will find a file called proto.xmb (and protox.xmb if u have titans) U have to click "direct file conversion" in aomed, ok? and select the proto.xmb and the protox.xmb after, once the files are converted, it will be proto.XML and protox.XML, now u can open and edit the files with wordpad.
It´s the same with the techtree.xmb and tectreex.xmb
To install the mods, copy the text documents included in the mods named "bla, bla (unit or building names..." .proto and paste it at the bottom of the proto.xml (or protox if u have titns u only have to do with protox) between the two last lines, in this way:
< /unit>
"......alll the proto new unit document..."
< /proto>
bE SURE the < /proto> is the last word of the document, ok? and that the new unit proto ends on the word < /unit>
Then save changes, close, run aomed, make the inverse direct file conversion, from protox.XML to protox.XMB and paste the file in the age of mithology/data folder.
Done it!!!
At the beginning it could seem a little difficult but i assure to u that it isn´t, u only have to look, work with files and soon u will know a lot of things more, ok?
Hope i´ve been helpful, sorry if my english it´s not perfect, i´m on it. And if u have more doubts, ask for, but remember there´s a lot of tutorials and tips in the section called : design hints, tips and tutorials, ok?
Anyway i have installers that install directly my mods, replacing all protos and techtrees files too, u only will have to run installer to install the complete mods (if u want i cand send u one with the elvish druid and the nubian elite)

Ey, man!!
The bar files are in the mithology folder, for example if you go to c:/program files/Microsoft games/Age of mithology/data.. u will see the data.bar, ok? and if you have titans installed, you will see data2.bar too, the same happens in music, anim, textures, models... folders.
I can´t send you the files cause they are all the data of the game and very big files (like 80 mbs, 90 mbs...) there are like 10 or 12 .bar...
Sorry.
Read tutorials, keep on trying and u will become a modder
