My opponent managed to build a wonder four minutes before I finished mine. So it's time for a big rush to try to knock down what will appear to be an heavily defended trap...
Will I succeed? ;)

It's a little less than one hour long, but the end, IMHO, is very impressive, with an intense suspense.

Comments would be much welcomed...

wrallen I thought for sure you would never get that wonder down. Good job. One serious thing you were doing wrong is sending Jarls against his Prodromos and you did it several times. Prodromos are only good against calvary. Ulfsarks would have waisted the Prodromos. The Jarls would have been good against his myth units. In general it's calvary against archers, archers against infantry, and infantry against calvary except for certain units. srry man, but i think this was a very bad game.
U made too many mistakes: first when u won the sea u shouldnt have waited,u should have attacked imidiately cuz your opponent was weaken, and he would have to waste resources in farms. Instead of doing this u built towers (????) and protected yourself (???), this was very stupid. Althought u destroyed the wonder, i dont think u did it fine. U had a great luck because your enemie didnt put any units near the wonder. i gave u 3 cuz u did destroyed the wonder well, but it wasnt a great game.

I am more a patient player than a rusher. I like to developpe all knowledge and have the best units. (a Civilization's typical style of play, I guess, opposing to Starcraft's players).

When I took control of the sea, I knew I would probably win this game. The fishing boats gave lots of food, I had all the time I needed. Sure I could have rushed and won this game fast. But where would have been the pleasure? Playing cat and mouse is certainly more funny.

The towers you mention were more to put pressure on my opponent and prevent him from gathering gold.

I never said this game was good : I was mostly a newbie, and I sure still am. What I said was that it involves lots of suspense, and that you can't deny :)

So, I did many mistakes, like the yet-mentioned jarl-stubborness, that I've corrected since.

But my main mistake was to forget we were not in conquest mode, and so that we could build a wonder. So my opponent's wonder was a total suprise for me. And yes, from that point, I was sure I would loose that game. And it's a miracle I could find this last strategy : attacking on the left with jarl to distract him and attarct his troops far from the wonder, while my buildings destroyers were inviding by the right.

I appreciate your comment, thanks again. But maybe it could be.. less agressive, next time? :) You reacted according to your own style of play. Admitt some people can play differently, but not less efficiently :)
