Warg Rider

Warg Rider Version I
=======================

Author:Celer
Version:AOM The Titans

Description: This mod changes the textures of the normally boring fenris wolf to the Warg Riders of Isengard in the movies "The Lord of the Rings".
It also adds a unit that is riding the wolf. A Version II of the Warg rider(actually I changed the name --- Wolves of Isengard) has been submited. That version includes a new unit with sounds and new textures

HIstory
=====================================================

The Wargs or Wild Wolves are a race of fictional wolf creatures in J.R.R. Tolkien's books about Middle-earth. They are almost always in league with the Orcs or Goblins whom they permitted to ride on their backs into battle. The Wargs speak a rudimentary language of their own. It is probable that they are descended from Draugluin's werewolves of the First Age.

In The Hobbit, the Wargs appear twice, once in chasing Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and the dwarves just east of the Misty Mountains, and once at the Battle of Five Armies. In The Lord of the Rings, they are most prominently mentioned in the middle of The Fellowship of the Ring, where a band of Wargs, unaccompanied by Orcs, attack the Fellowship in Hollin.

'Warg', like many words used in Tolkien's works, is an actual archaic Old English word meaning a large wolf. It has cognates in other Germanic languages such as Old Norse, where it is usually spelt with a "V" (i.e. "Varg"), and is the modern Swedish word for wolf. Because of the translation fiction this must mean that 'Warg' was not the name for these animals in Westron, but rather a translation of the original term.

Wargs also appear in Dungeons & Dragons under the name "worg" (rather than warg).

In Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, wargs appear to be more like hyenas or bears rather than wolves, but it should be noted that Tolkien never actually described a warg beyond stating they were demonic wolves. Jackon's wargs fit that role well, as vicious man-high predators.

If you wish to overwrite the original fenris wolf history, you would find a history
file in this Zip File. Before you put the file in though, make a copy of your original fenris wolf history file

THIS IS NOT A NEW UNIT

Sorry but...
* HORRIBLE texture

* Not a new unit

* basic anim editing

Additional Comments:Please don't take this harshly. I simply think that you should keep modding to get better, because right now you're not very good.

I did love the idea of this mod and all but when I downloaded and saw your textures killed it all. In version 2 I would suggest exstensive texture work.

Additional Comments:
Good work none the less, cant wait for version 2 :)

And by the way I would advise getting gimp to work, it can greatly inprove a mod!

The texture is horrible. Also, I'm a little pissed off about you giving Lord DiGani a bad rate

Additional Comments:
I was gonna give you a 1 but I realized it probably took a noob like you a while to figure out how to attach a rider, so good job to that.

It is a very funny unit, but doesn't like a Warg Rider at all. I don't given a 0 because its a little funny, but is really bad.

Additional Comments:
Sorry, but didn't you see:

- 1 It is no orc at all??????
- 2 That the wolf is unright?
