AOM Screenshots 2.0

Author File Description
silvergod45 Anyone who's downloaded my other screenshots will be surprised that I actually did do good.(I hope)

Rock Slide:See where fallen boulders have blocked a river.

Oasis:A small watering hole in the middle of the desert.

Norse River:A river with a lighthouse(occupied by a madman)and animals surrounding it.

Atlantis:Shows Arkantos with the Theocrat. It has very little eyecandy, but I was in a hurry.

Shut up!:Arkantos, Ajax, and Amanra are cornered by Gargarensis. The argument gets pretty loud.

RUN!:Arkantos and Ajax...Running for their lives with an army of Minotaurs behind them!

Tamarisk Tree:Four heroes standing in front of the Tamarisk Tree.I didn't plan to have this in the download.(I decided to put it in the mix not very long ago)So it isn't as good as I could have made it.

When Giants Attack:Dwarves have to go through this every day.

Kemsyt and Amanra:This is the short encounter Amanra had with Kemsyt before Arkantos came along.Somehow Kemsyt survived falling of the cliff.

I might make a third download, but I'm not sure...

Mouse Overlord Pretty good :). Try to make it so that there is more than one terrain type on the ground.... like not all Sand A, but Sand A, B, C and D.

I'm not very good at that. I usually mess up and just make huge unnatural looking spots.
I need more feedback than this if I plan to make better screenshots!

Here's a breakdown:

Atlantis: Good, but add some buildings in the upper-right area, maybe some hoplites or villies.

K & A: Exellent scenery, but Kemsyt's running animation is above ground...

Norse River: You really ought to submit this to the eye candy thread. It's that good.

Rockslide: Really good too, the only thing I can comment on is where the deer are, you should add different grasses, say grass B or grass-dirt?

RUN!: Good scenery, but there's a big blank spot up at the top of the screen. You should add something.

Shut Up: Nice one

Tamarisk Tree: Exellent natural layout

Watering Hole: Kind of bland. Change sand types, or maybe add buildings and/or a dock.

WGA: Good, but you need more that just that one type of snow. Mesh you must!

So overall nice job, better than the last pack, and good luck on the next few!

Very creative screenshots. Although you need to mix terrain more. The terrain is just too bland and needs to be "Hybridized" as I like to say. Good use of animations, and creative nature pictures.

Wait a second, you said the Tamarisk Tree was good?!And I thought that was my worst one...

Nothing very special.... ill agree that Norse River is cool but thats it.
Half of them looked like you just took random screenshots during a game. And if you want good ones take away the colored unit shadow things, and dont select units. You want these to look real.
Its good that you explore screenshots, i do to0 becasue its fun. Youll get better in time. Really its not even so much about knowing tricks than just making your shots mean something. Sometimes its indescribable what makes a screenshot good.
Mass murder is NOT a good screenshot, and apparently youre already past that phase (we all go through it ;)).
Try and get some kind of pitch editor because it can make for some really good ones.

Yeah, well, I tried to do what you said but I just forgot to check before I took the screenshots.

Anastasoulis hey silvergod45,

why don't you download the images from the eye candy thread and save them in a folder in your PC.
Then you can look them over at your leisure and get ideas. That's what I did and it's been an inspiration.
But you do need the new editor 3 and before you take a screenshot, you should adjust view by pressing ctrl and arrow keys.

You're getting better at it, keep working.

Good idea...And I know how to zoom in and out.

After a looooong time I've finally figured out how to make units stand on buildings. I'd make a guide, but this pitiful heap of junk I call a computer isn't working right...
