I know I'm a member of LFS, but I'll try and make this as impartial a review as possible. Believe me, this is actually how I feel about the scenario. So don't ban me or anything ;).
Tactical works on the tried and tested method of selecting units to build, and having them appear at your base in waves. It messes with this formula by having significantly more strategy than a regular "blood". To keep your unit production up, you must capture one of four "wood points" on the map. With any more than 4 players, the pace becomes very hectic. This simple premise works very well and developes into complex battles across many fronts. The wood system though, punishes players who might lose control of one of the points. The winning players keep on winning, and the losers fall behind very quickly. No glitches that I have found.
All players are perfectly equal in starting positions and resources. However, once a player is losing, circumstances usually make them continue losing, and it is very hard to get back into the game afterwards. Not much else to say except skill is the main separator of players.
Yes, it may be a "blood" style map, but it messes with this formula incredibly. Will players go after the god goats (for god powers), make a sneak attack on a distracted enemy? Unlike any scenario I've played.

Very good map design, but a few jagged edges here and there which look a bit out of place.
The (skippable) opening cinematic gives a very good and detailed idea of the rules. Not much else to say here.
I think that the only thing left to say is that before this was released, we at LFS have been playing it non-stop. Definitely worth a download and a play.

OK BIG TIP HERE: Add a unit pop cap like Norse Wars. I reached 600 and the whole game was slow!
Other than that, it's good.
It's pretty much balanced. All players have the same everything. HOWEVER it seems player 3 is unable to convert goats to gold. Check on that please.
Also, god choices can affect game (odin = regeneration, zues = infantry bonus to buildings). Maybe have all players be the same god (isis doesn't seem to have any bonuses) or something.
As said before though, once you start losing, you lose. I think it has to do w/ no pop cap.
The way you use each resource is original. The way you send cows and goats to the pit is like sacrificing. I really like how all the choosing is on one side and the battle on the other. Also, nice idea with the fire hills.

The map design isn't fantastic but it's good. There aren't any real bottlenecks on the battlefield, but the caravans sometimes get stuck on the black when going together.
For crying out loud - there's a whole 5 min tutorial! I understand it easily. However, not many seem to realize that the costs and stuff are in the names of units.
It's also great that you put the general stuff in the objectives but not many realize that either.
Great scenario! The only big problem is LAG.
This is a great map to play online and I found it extremely enjoyable. The beginning cinematic is very good and explains the map well enough that even a n00b, in theory, should know what to do. I found the different unit selectors (llama, donkey, etc.) a nice touch that adds even more choice to the game. In the few games I played there was a problem with people just parking at the generating spots and not attacking, but I choke that up to map unfamiliatrity on my enemies' parts. Goats and Cows also were a nice added touch and added an extra bit of strategy by giving you the option of slaying and/or stealing the enemy goats and cows. As someone else said, there should be a pop cap, due to lag. Perhaps a LAN version w/o a pop cap and an ESO version with a pop cap? This item alone is enough to bring the playability down to a 4 due to the possibilty of CRUSHING lag.
It's a BLOOD style map, so every player is balanced in starting position, resources, abilities, etc. There's nothing much more to say here.
It's a BLOOD style map with a unit selector system, which has been done before. What *is* creative is the map control points, the way units are selected with the different unit selectors you must buy, the unique useage of the 3 resources, and the GOD COWS and GOD GOATS. I also liked the giant vulture. :)

Fantastic map design, especially for a multiplayer map. Some terrains were mixed or applied in a way that I had never seen before which inspires me to try similar things for my own maps. A consistant "feel" for a particular scenario is sometimes a difficult thing to achieve and the designers of T A C T I C A L passed with flying colors. The overall map design gives a great "mythic" or "otherworldly" ambiance within which is great to slay and maim.
The instructions were clear and concise. The opening cinematic told us all we needed to know and then some. The camera work was also good. If there is anything that would have brought this score down, it would have been the "Don't do anything please!" thing at the beginning. There are ways to hide this and prevent people from doing anything while the triggers are loading, namely by using the "cinematic mode:on" effect. ;) That way you could segue into the cinematic better without causing confusion for the players.
Overall, a magnificent addition to the AOMH downloads section. This scenario provides for a uniquely "tactical" experience utilizing Age of Mythology as its source. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys Blood style scenarios, but wants something different to spice up their time on ESO. Hours of entertainment rolled up into one scenario.
