The Norse Warriors are on vacation, and the Archer Blood Warriors are all dead. What entertainment is left for Arkantos, Gargarensis and Nidhogg? Well.... what about hosting a -

MARATHON OF DOOM?!

You, as one of the four competitors, have to race through (eye-candy filled) perilous mountans, mystifying mazes and painful ballista shots. Scared of dying? No problem... every time you die you will re-appear at the last checkpoint you passed, ready to go and at full health. The only two drawbacks of this are your lost time, and the terrifying pain. All this for 10000 gold pieces!

Unfortunately, Arkantos, Gargarensis and Nidhogg soon find out that they don't HAVE 10000 gold pieces - they have 10000 pieces of chewing gum! Oops. They will start to frantically deploy fearless, computer animated enemies at you, which will slash and hack you to pieces... if they can catch up with you... Two members of AGN incorporated (Arkantos, Gargarensis and Nidhogg Inc.) will also oppose you - randomly chosen of course.

Kill the computer animated enemies to get gold to add to your total prize stash! Then buy computer animated "boosters" (no.... not steroids.... you get blood tests before the race...) to run ahead of the pack. Have your competitors taken all your enemies in their frenzied rush ahead of you? No problem! Enter the colosseum any time you want and kill stuff there - you can resume the race at any time. The colosseum cheerleader is the great Athena, who will provide intelligent commentary such as "Like, once, I was, like, raking leaves, and the I, you know, like, fell out of the tree. Like!"

There are also randomly appearing secret passages! There is a 1/5 chance that each passage will be open. Find the great UBER TELEPORTERS and rush to victory!

Get to the finish line and take that prize money! Good luck ... you'll need it. (Unless you're the creator and know everything there possibly is to know about it .)

EDIT: The colosseum now has easier enemies, and area 5 is easier - 3 Titans instead of 4.

OMG! WAIT ONE NOSE PICKING MINUTE! :P TO THE FIRST 11 PEOPLE WHO DOWNLOADED THIS FILE - I GAVE YOU THE WRONG VERSION! AHHHHH SRY! PLZ DOWNLOAD AGAIN! HOST THE ONE WHICH SAYS "Marathon of DOOM!" (with the exclamation mark and capital letters).

Playability should be ok... If ESO was better :'# There's so much map designing that the map is a little laggy.
Other thing, the cinematics. Often camera cut are perturbing the game.
Ok I'm rude, but I had to find something wrong !

Balance: 5
Nothing to say about this. All players are equal.

Creativity: 5
The race idea is not original. But the way you took it is original!

Map Design: 5
The map design is TOO good ! LOL (see playability) You should delete useless eyecandy.

Story/Instructions: 5
The story is so funny ^^. Instructions are simple to understand.

Additional Comments:
Good map but a little laggy :'#

Additional questions :
Why do you place an "achiles" in each of your map ?
Why do the chiron aera is connected with the land ? Even if the chirons cant go out easily (unit in aera - move from aera), monsters can enter and embarass chirons.

:D Thanks for your review. It is a bit laggy... I always get carried away with the eyecandy.
Oh, you noticed the Achilles? I tried to make it invisible by putting it underwater this time. :P Actually, I put in Achilles so that the players aren't defeated when they have no units. The only reason I use Achilles is because its one of the first units in the object list, so its the first unit I see.
The reason the Chiron area is connected to the racetrack is because you eventually race through that area, past the Chirons.

Edit: @Archaeopterix : Lol ok. But won't that stop the remaining player from winning if everyone else resigns?

@Wiweb : I know. I'm just too lazy. :O. Anyway, it makes a little minigame in each of my scenarios - find the Achilles. :P

Archaeopterix Next time, just disable the victory conditions if you don't want the one with 0 units loose ;)

Edit: Not sure, but if it does you can solve that with triggers.

wiweb hey, to make a unit invisible, you just have to reduce it until we dont see it ! (shift + K)
