The new Pharaoh that has risen, tries to turn Egypt to worship of Akhenaton-the one god.
Civil war breaks up the country, as followers of the "old" gods resist.
Pharaoh calls in some Greek mercenaries to help him against his enemies, but so does the resistance by calling in northern barbarians.
Simple game, defeat your opponents by grinding them to the ground, and bring all the holy objects -i.e.relics home to convince everyone as to the legitimacy of your position.
Points of notice:
1)You can change your Egyptian villagers to Akhenaton worshipers (Greek vills), by placing them in front of the Great Temple-Shrine and then by clicking on the shrine itself.
2)Don't lose your Pharaoh, or all is gone.
3)Amanra is the only other hero that can pick up relics, and if she's killed -she really dies.
4)Find and bring home the relic=Ring of the Nibelungen, as it will enable you to build Akhenaton fortresses (Midgols).
5)Use your priests to bring elephants of Set to the Akhenaton Statue (Monument to the Gods), as they'll be trained to be war elephants.
6)Use greek vills to gather favour at a temple built at a protected spot.
7)Use the complex at Pelusium (to the other side of the map of your TC) for improvements and important caravan trade much needed.
8)Block off your production area with Egyptian buildings, so as not to have any raiders come in and disrupt your economy.
9)Search the map at your TC for "hidden" resources
10)Most important, your army isn't up to par yet due to Akhenaton changes, so use the Greek mercenaries to win, i.e. keep tributing resources to them so they can continue building units and fighting for you.
I made a simple cinematic for this, but I need more time to learn and .
Hope you enjoy my first submission.
pls play at hard.
After extensive playtesting, I've found that the default AI of the opponents gets sticky at times and they revert to "Easy targets".
Can't you just edit the file of you rother one?
there was no need for two, especially as the other file is still in the "New Files" section.
does anybody know where clobberman is? I think something might be wrong...
Tell me what other historic sort of people there are i will start one. Can someone give me some ideas. Someone like king arthur or angus young(legend) ACDC ROCKS
(This was very playable, the exception being that when you have to click and hold on your Town Center to get it to turn to a town center. That is because it is overlapped with a migdol stronghold. If you regular click on it, you will get the stronghold.)
(Too easy, even on hard mode- after an initial attack, the enemies stop sending soldiers to attack you. Is this what the author meant about reverting to "easy targets?")
(Very creative, with Akhenaton, Amanra, Mercenaries, and enemies. Although Akhenaton was the pharaoh who thought he was a god, the god's name was Aten, not Akhenaten.)
Map Design: 5
(This could have been the best, because the author uses rivers, mountains, and many of the sturctures in the game. In fact, he combines structures to make them look like new ones.)
(The basic story was good, because there really was a dispute in Egypt between Akhenaten and other worshippers. It is not clear how militant the struggle became. On the downside, the author didn't go into this, or explain the story his scenario was trying to portray. It would have been better if it came with a readme file.)
The instructions say: "1)You can change your Egyptian villagers to Akhenaton worshipers (Greek vills), by placing them in front of the Great Temple-Shrine and then by clicking on the shrine itself." How do you do this? What is the Great Temple-Shrine? In your opening city in the northwest corner, there is an Osiris Pyramid, 2 Underground Passages, a Sky Passage, a fountain, and a Monument to Akhenaten. Which one is the Great Temple?
