Version: 0.20
Length: 6:43 min
File Size: 6.10MB

Genre: Epic / Classical
More informations:
This music was inspired by movies like "Ben Hur" or "El Cid". It sounds like a march for Gladiators entering the Colosseum of Rome. Very good for combining it into a map/scenario.
By the way: You can also replace some music files of the AOM music with it: Look in the directory of your AOM game (I assume "C:" is your drive where AOM is installed):
Example for AOM:
C:/.../Age of Mythology/sound/music/
or for AOMTT:
C:/.../Age of Mythology/sound/xpack/xmusic/
But, do NOT forget to make a backup of the original music files!
If you want to use the music track for a map or scenario, I highly recommend to put into this game folder:
C:/.../Age of Mythology/sound/
Remember: If you integrate this track into your scenario or map (via trigger) AND want to play it online, make sure ALL players have the file downloaded and copied it into the same folder!

Hello auron 2,
This actually is NO forum! And please don't call me "monthy" again, you did it several times.
However, nice to meet you again. I am busy with work ... and, of course, I want to make new stuff for AOM :) ... so stay tuned!
By the way, I already have 2 songs in the Top200 Charts of amazon.com! Check this:
http://artist.amazon.com/m0nty_pyth0n
And ... be surprised of the new song, called "Fallen Paladin". This is my absolutely masterpiece in orchestral classical music composition (up to now). I uploaded it today to this download section! Just wait...[Edited on 01/18/05 @ 06:53 AM]

The instructions say:
================
You can also replace some music files of the AOM music with it: Look in the directory of your AOM game (I assume "C:" is your drive where AOM is installed):
Example for AOM:
C:/.../Age of Mythology/sound/music/
or for AOMTT:
C:/.../Age of Mythology/sound/xpack/xmusic/
But, do NOT forget to make a backup of the original music files!
=======================
I put the file in my xmusic folder, but it doesn't play as background music as part of the normal cycle. My goal was to get it to play during a Random game. Probably the game has some kind of data instruction that tells it to only play certain named files in the xmusic folder.
So probably what the soundtrack designer's instructions meant was that you need to replace the original xmusic folder files by saving the colosseum soundtrack on top of those files. This would explain why the designer said to first make a backup of those original xmusic files. This is because if the designer only meant for the soundtrack file to be placed next to the original xmusic files, then you would not have to save those xmusic files.
The Soundtrack Mod designer also has submitted a random map called "TW I Colosseum"
Total War map with many settlements placed in a colosseum to fight for. 2 teams map.
It makes sense that it would be nice to play this soundtrack while also playing that map scenario. They would fit together since they are made by the same designer.
The scenario "Gladiator - Enter The Colliseum" has a sound file that you can find in its download that comes from the movie Gladiator and would go nicely as an accompaniment.

The Designer also provided the song
"Does Jazz belong in Age of Mythology?"
"Fallen Paladin - Soundtrack - version 0.20"(He recommends putting it in the fight sound or "Age of Mythologysoundxpackxmusic" folder[Edited on 11/14/20 @ 02:48 AM]
