Pushing Greeks V 1.01

Author File Description
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
This is a build and destroy scenario.

You are the norse trying to push the greeks out of your lands.

You have a few modifications of the norse you are used to playing with(but no mod is needed to play this, its in-game)

-First your must pay your gatherers meaning they cost gold instead of food, making you more gold reliant.

-Your ulfsarks are cheaper, faster, cost less population, and have a great bonus vs. other infantry.

-You can have only one hersir(you start with him,he's kind of a main character). He has a little more health and attack than a normal hersir.Note that if he dies, you lose the scenario.

Update to V 1.01 (note that this is a very minor update):

-All I did was take away that bug at the beginning that you had an ulfsark in the middle of the Greeks town.

If this scenario is somehow not playable or there is a bug, please tell me and I'll get to it as soon as I can.Thanks.

Reviews please!!!Or at least a comment so i can see if you like it.
Anastasoulis I tried your scenario and it has problems.
1) It played at Easy, even though I'd selected hard.
2) Everyone just sat there waiting for me to destroy them.
3) The map totally lacks eye candy, in fact it looks like a randomely generated map where you've added a few triggers and units/buildings.
4) Perhaps your file is corrupted, cause my units didn't attack the enemies even after I set my diplomacy so.
5) I won't rate, cause I'd have to give you a very low number and I don't like to do such a thing.

Other Comments:
a) a "good" scenario takes approx. 300 hours of work and is of considerable size in Megabytes.
b) eye candy, nice images, interesting to look at, that's the key
c) story, you have to have one and you didn't say what was it with that Hersir and Regenlif which converts to your side.
d) try again and put more work in it.

Ok but with the reginlief:It says right in the scenario that she needs to be escorted back to her clan and I dont know why the enemies just stood around except the bandits and loki's minion but even when I play tested it the greeks built up and attacked me and all that. And I didn't just put a few triggers in a random map I created the whole map myself and the Hersir is the leader of your town I thought that was clear. But thanks anyways for commenting though.

EDIT:Also remember that this is a B&D scenario meaning almsot everything u d is building and destroying.I put the reginlief thing in there just as an extra.

Anastasoulis hey john360,
don't be offended, it wasn't my intention.
About the map, I wrote that IT LOOKS like a randomely generated map, so I didn't say that it was, OK?
But even if it was, that's not the issue -the issue is that you have to work on the scenery to make beautiful looking images, called eye candy.
Instructions must be given at start, but I admit I didn't read carefully the read me file.

Advice (if I may): always start with a blank map as big as you want -perhaps best is between 500 and 700 square, and if you want to you can go and generate a randomely generated map and then use the map copy function -draw a rectangle and paste the map you copied onto your blank map and voi la, you'll have a new map made by you and nobody can say anything.
Then you have to go and work on the environment, then place the buildings and always remember the eye candy thing.
Look for my 2 single player scenarios, I've done some good eye candy (in my personal opinion) but there were problems, check out and learn from my mistakes.

Finally, check your triggers and computer AI for opponents. Don't know what else to say to you, as I'm not that advanced in scenario making. I just know that you have to spend lots and lots of time to make something good and then it's going to be of some size in disk space.
Hope I've helped

Thanks for the advice Anastasoulis,I will take that all into consideration. And about the map sizing thing...yes I actually did want to make the map bigger but I was almost finshed with everything and so I saved it then resized it and all the units just walked out of place and stuff though so I kept it the size it was.
