Playability: 3
The map is too small for one thing, the center islands could stand to be slightly larger. It's been a while since I've seen the original rising tides however, and for all i know they might be the same size, in which the author might have been going for authenticity. I would have "at least" doubled the size of this map.

Balance: 5
It's essentially perfectly balanced, for what it's worth.

Creativity: 3
I think the author could have used more unit types (he used only deer, let's see some caribou, gazelle, elk, -> variety!)

Map Design: 3
It seems to be pretty faithful to the original rising tides (from what i remember). Again I think it's just too small, and a bit clumsy to play on.

Story/Instructions: 2
No story, but there wasn't any in AoE 1 either was there? (for multiplayer maps) I'm giving it a 2 because I want the overall score to be lower, since I have a 5 for balance.

Additional Comments:

Cool seeing this map, it brings back good memories, cuz I loved that map. I think this could have benefitted from being an RMS (random map script) as it only has DEER, no elk, no bears, etc. would be nice to see a little variety. I think the author did a decent job, and should try again, as he has potential, just not met here with this map. OVERALL: 3

PS. don't take it personal, i think you did pretty good, just need to try again.
