The days not going to well for derik the dwarf, its started raining and his fires getting wet. life as a hero is hard. After a series of random events the world is saved again, but The question is, Can anyone stand up to the horror of Senta Gandelfs from noob LOTR's maps? only time will tell.
An amuzzing cinematic about LOTR maps. Hope you enjoy - reach268 :D
(sorry if a second one comes up i reposted because i have been waiting a few days)
This was relatively easy to view, although killing off lots of units at once can slow the game up.
It was difficult to find any real definition of balance, so a 3 should even out.
What else is there to say about someone poking fun at noob eyecandy? Still there were a couple of items that I felt scooped the mark up from the bottom.
Map Design: 4
Similar to Creativity, except that the eyecandy brought this mark UP instead.
Not much of a storyline. The description of the scenario is answered almost at once (similar to Mystery of the Nile). As in the title, this cinematic goes off on a series of random events.
All in all, this is not the best cinematic a person could watch, mind you might get a crack out of the LOTR map jokes. Good for a rainy day, as long as you don't light a fire inside ;)

General Funny-ness: 2
The first joke is of course the best, it really just gets worse from there. It is kind of funny with LOTR jokes, but after that it just turns into a "meteor everything" fest. Soooo... 2 rating.
Because balance cannot really be worked into a cinematic, I used a two to balance it out (without balance score rating would be 2.25, with balance of 2 it would be 2.20. Close enough). Really, you can't "balance" a cinematic.
Creative enough, at least as creative as a bunch of related jokes can be. It really doesn't feel like much thought was put into the cinematic. It's still average, so I think 3 will suffice as a middle-line rating.
Map Design: 3
Map Design was OK. Just OK. Nothing really stood out, however it was bearable. Add something considerably good looking next time, as opposed to a lot of so-so things. Other than that, fine.
Ugh! Terrible work here. First, the storyline makes little to no sense and although it's supposed to be 'random,' it even fails at that. Secondly, there were so many spelling and grammar errors I wanted to scream. It seriously doesn't take much effort to use proper English, but it's upsetting how some designers are too lazy to bother with it. Unless you're under 9 years old or mentally handicapped, no excuse for it.
OK, However next time around I suggest you put more thought and effort into the cinematic.
