These are some ff8 midi's that i found, dunno who made em but they are from the game. download if you like music or the game. its a must for any fan of the game.
Additional Comments:Very good indeed, I love all series of FF, great job finding them, but only a 2 because for them to work in AOM they must be .wav and not .mid, if you did changed them to wav, my review would be 4.

There is at least one program that converts MIDI files. It is named something like MIDI2WAV Recorder and runs about $25. I have seen others but do not remember their names. Haven't come across any converters yet that are free. Bummer.

The reason converters for those aren't free is because midis have to be made with a program, and it's very hard to convert because they read from a source, and the files don't have the actual music in them.

You can convert MIDI files to music, at least on a Mac. I can import MIDI files into iTunes and convert them into MP3 files, or a few other formats. I can't convert to a WAV, however. If you have a PC with iTunes, try to see if you can import it and then convert.

Why don't you play the midi, then as its playing, record with "sound recorder," then tadaa! it's now a wav!
