Description
==============================
I worked for many months creating the custom AOM:TT level "Restless" and it was to be my most complex and involving project up until September 2004. The project included an opening cinematic and a custom level. Unfortunately, around that time, my interest in AOM:TT waned, and the call of 3D game editors was just too great. I abandoned "Restless" in October of 2004 and thus ended my AOM: TT design career. In June of 2005 I was cleaning my hard disk and happened upon the "Restless" files. I remembered finished the opening cinematic for the level and decided to watch it for old time's sake. The memories of "Restless" poured back but unfortunately my interest in AOM was definitely gone. Seemed a shame for "Restlelss" (the level) to never see the light of day, especially since its about 85% done. And while the level likely will never be published, I decided to post the "Restless" cinematic as one last gift to the design community. If anyone is interested in using the Restless cinematic as a introduction to their own level, or want a special author's copy of the unfinished Restless level for possible completion, contact me.

I didn't actually time it recently but I went from memory as I timed it when I finished it. It was never intended to be a stand-alone project and in context to the level, its length is about right. The next level continues the story and elaborates on the setting and the game that is about to take place. Enjoy it for what it is!
Glad you liked the "tunnel" and thanks for DLing the work, watching it and making a comment. |

Watch-ability: 5
That was an amazing scenario! The best I've ever seen! The characters, the rain, the sound. Once again, amazing!
Balance: 5
The balance was good. However, I don't think I'll be able to review that.
Creativity: 5
Well done! I don't know how you did it! That small planet, space... I think I'm jumping onto map design already!
Map Design: 5
I loved the way you made that planet like the moon! It was great inside the temple! You even did the ceiling!
Story: 5
A great story. The strange planet, the boy at the end, but why didn't you use the General Madelicus statue at the statue scene?
Additional Comments:
I love cinematics, and I'm very excited about the campaign. Good luck![Edited on 08/14/05 @ 02:59 PM]

Great job Tbarak...really amazing movie ! (see also my comments in your showcase thread on the forum).
Say Tbarak i was wondering something...well I will post it in the Tsunami private forum.
Although your not very interested in AoM anymore its good to see that your back on the Rts design front !!
Obviously I cannot rate this movie as a fellow team member but It deserves a good spot in the AoM downloads sector !
take care
Best regards,

My email addy is tbarak@mts.net. Email me if you want Titan.
Thanks Vandhaal for the nice comments. It's too bad team mates can't rate - it seems to me Tsunami members would have the credentials to make authoritative ratings. I guess too many people cheating in the the past. Oh well, encouragement and praise from a designer of your caliber is worth as much, if not more, than a rating. GL my friend and I will check the Tsunami boards. |
