Playability: 5
I thought the playability was very good. It was very fun to play and a very interesting map. It was very good except that one time I played, just after talking to the mayor, I could not move him from the city because of of his troops got in the way of the stairs.
Balance: 4
The balance is good but a little on the hard side. It was very irritating when all the troops from the hill came down to attack me, especialy when I was running from the arena to find a safe place to get healed. The main problem with the balancing was that the fact that the hero soilders were like 20x better than the normal troops which made the game realy unrealistic.
Creativity: 5
I thought that the map was very creative with alot of detail and eyecandy. Definately worth a good look at. There alot of original idears and eyecandy. I thought that the cities/forts were realy cool and I liked the idear of the increasing the size of the ships.
Map Design: 5
The map design was excellent with a ton of eyecandy. The wooded cliff area was especialy good. It realy looked like a wooded area, keep up the good map design on your maps!
Story/Instructions: 5
I thought that the story was very clear and the instructions were easy to follow. But one thing I did find confusing was trying to land the ship on the shore. It took me a while to find where to land it. Anyway, it gets a 5 because the story and instructions were very clear.
Additional Comments:
I would suggest the following improvements:
-Make the balance between the heros and the soilders more equal.
-Have a difficulty detter so that experts and newbies can both have a good game!
-Hide as much of the visible land from when you view the map/battle plans in the intro cimatic as possible.
Overall,
I think that the map is excellent and is a DEFINATE DOWNLOAD!!!

Playability: 3
The gameplay was quite slow: a lot of walking (really, way too much), and little events. The siege could've been done much better. The gate was too narrow and I didn't have any siege weapons or ranged units.
Then there are some small things: you didn't use a flashing objectives banner, and only sometimes map revealers to show where to go. The setna guy who explodes when near an enemy is nice, but it makes microing tougher, and he also ungarrisoned the transport once in open sea. In addition, the instructions weren't always clear (the first one says to "cross the river", but how should I know that that river has an island in it which I have to go around?). Next to that, it said "longboats! sink them all!" when there was only one left. And then there were some long conversations in spoofed chats, which should've been cinematics. Spoofed chat just doesn't look right for long convos.
Over all, the playability wasn't good and wasn't bad. Most people will give a 4 if that's a case, but that's the reason why so many scenarios are so highly rated nowadays.
Balance: 4
The balance was good. I really needed the HEAL godpowers, and the fortress was just hard enough to conquer - one of my heroes nearly died. It was all just hacking and slashing though, which isn't that hard to balance, so I think a 4 is suitable.
Creativity: 4
The creativity was good. I understand you invented the story yourself? Quite nice, although I didn't played the previous part. The map design showed some creative aspects, but not that much. Neither where there really renewing gameplay elements - it's just walking around killing enemies.
Map Design: 4
The map design was nice in most places, but somehow it looked a bit as Oscar-wannabe. It lacks smaller eyecandy (small elevation differences, terrain meshing, bushes, rocks, etc) and contains some big buildings instead. But unfortunately those big buildings, although the river-blocking fortress was nice, don't come near what Oscar does.
Story/Instructions: 4
As I said, nice story, although it's only one scen in a whole series. The cinematics were quite slow now and then, and contained an ugly shot or two (one at a too low angle --> lag, and one with the main character uglyish amputated below the hips).
Additional Comments:
I'm not sure what the AI was there for? He sometimes said odd things, like how advanced his technology is, how he will crush me like an insect, that he entered the classical age and he asked me to let him surrender, pretty please. It seemd out of place and not of much use.
I have mainly stated negative aspects above, but this is a nice scenario and I quite enjoyed it :)[Edited on 02/16/06 @ 07:34 PM]

Playability: 4
Well it seems as if I hadn't ever played this before so I'll start off.. :p
To begin with, The First docking process was rather exciting when you had to defend and everything, it made you feel the expense right at the beginning when with other scenarios, everything gets a tad more complex than usual. Still I would've prefered if there wasn't so many enemies, which at times make it seem impossible, I had to keep loading the game a few times and sometimes I even gave up; still though it seems a bit frustrating to get there, it seemed pretty easy to finish some other parts which doesn't really stress you out so much, a somewhat of a neat combo, which helps ease it out..
At other times, like the fortress for instance seemed a bit too easy if you're used to this kind of Fixed Forces Combat, nevertheless, it is still balanced and you could screw up if you don't pay attention (not saying I did of course..)
Besides a few seeming lagged improvement (and sometimes it did actually lag during a few cutscenes, a bug or something? Probably not..) it was pretty fun and enjoyable to both watch the cutscenes and destroy entire enemy clans just for the heck of it :P...
Balance: 4
The balance, well it was balaned enough, having some soldiers, a main force and reinforcements, sometimes it seemed hard, other times it seemed okay and enjoyable enough to rate this a 4, but it really should deserve a 3.8 or a score close enough if I could though...
Creativity: 4
Considering I did help you out on the storyline (mainly only the three borns and such).. It was really really creative, having all this to follow and especially the building overlapping and the map design; it was overall completely amazing, though it doesn't deserve a 5 because of some lack of interest (not trying to offend you) and me helping out, it was already kind of a given it was great, which would be why it rated a 4 instead of a 5.. You'll understand after we finish ToG...
Map Design: 4
The Map Design, and the prologue was amazing, I almost felt sorry (note: notice the almost there) for commenting on you in that MSN conversation sometime last year, now I know you deserve a 5..
To begin, the building overlapping was splendid, and the river pretty well done.. The Huge Bridge contraption or whatever that was (passage toll? :P) in the middle of the scenario was absolutely amazing it helped out in the scenario playability rating too, very creative and well done, like ToG is..
But the clans, well, they're another story, some were realistic, and some were plain out too realistic which doesn't add too much creativity, the terrain and landscape were okay, if I were to rate them alone, probably a strong 3 would be good which droped down the rating from a 5 to a three..
Overall some eyecandy every now and then, nothing too special with amazing building structures, this is worthy of a exact 4, which is good considering I can't vote above or below complete digits...
Story/Instructions: 5
The Story was very well done, though even a bit awkward and unexpected, it took us completely by suprise and having this kind of storyline this creative, it's much more than some plain obvious storylines in novels or certain scenarios.. The Instructions were somewhat clear, good enough for also a 4, since sometimes I had to almost search the entire scenario and even in the editor for certain areas, I'm sure glad you made it 'more' specific than the original design, so thus rating this section a 4 even if the rating system is thought to be messed up... (I agree it isn't perfect but certainly not messed up as it gives certain good balance...)
Additional Comments:
Great job Dwieeb, glad to have you on The Runic Design Group (the sub-division design group of me, Dwieeb, Xerxes and sometimes even Unome).. Keep up the good work and try improving your landscape design skills for small elevations, plateaus and the small forests....
