Here are two horse race maps to play. One is for multiplayer and the other is singe player.
MULTIPLAYER HORSE RACE - Challenge 3 other players to race against. First to end wins. Teams do not matter because it does diplomancy for you.
SINGLE PLAYER HORSE RACE - Challenge 3 AI players to race against! The enemy racers have been programed to overcome every section including the olympus area where the only way through is by tremor being casted on you. They should give you a decent race but occasionaly they get stuck or they just stop so don't worry. There are 3 so it doesn't matter if one of them gets stuck.
Tips on playing:
-Avoid being shockwaved into the clearing in the forest that says HA HA. To get out, step on the blue tile.
-Look for the shortest route through the olympus area.
-It is quicker to lure the mirror towers out of the way than just to destroy them.
-To get out of the mountain area, step on the snowy rocky patch on top of the mountain.
Have fun and rate and comment!
If you wish, put down in the comments section the quickest time you finished the race single player and see who is the best at this map!
It was quite fun to play, having to get over those areas where shockwaves strike every so often. In fact, the player has to "use" the shockwave to jump over some obstacles in order to get to the next area.
It's balanced OK, cause theoretically all start with a horseman, but in practice I found that if you fall behind for a split second, then your rider can't overtake the others and will have to chance it in the shockwave areas.
It was quite creative, with good use of powers/units that send your rider flying around and you have to wait for him to get his bearings again and ride like hell towards the finish.
Map Design: 3
Sorry for the 3, but there wasn't anything exceptional in the map in my personal opinion. Perhaps that area with the columns, and the other "bumping monster" area could've been more elaborate. I guess you wanted to keep things average so that the players won't be distracted by the scenery.
Average stuff here too, and it kind'a puts you right away into the fray, unprepared sort of in my opinion.
The cliff with the stairs was good, but that was about it for eye candy if you exclude the finale... Perhaps the map could have more eye candy, like the riders passing through a tunnel, near-through water/waterfalls, etc.
In general it was good, but I fear it hasn't too much of replayability value.
Well, that's it and keep up the good work.
