This Scenario is like the popular online games, Final Fantasy and End of Heros. Dark Passions was made for online play. It does not have alot of triggers so that it will allow for less laggy game play. The amount of enemies on the map and the heros' tech statuses, make for a more realistic style of game play. Unlike the End of Heros, in which you can basically turn your hero as strong as a guardian, Dark Passions will only allow your heros to grow in life span. This will make for some strategic fighting. The battles you encounter can be very simple in this game but some of them can be challenging. I've tried to make the game easy enough to win but not easy enough to the point where the players will be bored. Another great aspect of the game is that the enviornments in which you play through, are filled with lots of eye candy and interesting terrains. At one point, you'll be battling enemies in the final resting place of the great dragon (The dragon is a very large and visible), and before you kno it you could be sailing through the Wadjet filled swamps. I've also alotted certain pieces of land to regenerate and heal your hero.
Game Setup:
The first 6 players are humans and on the same team. Player 7 should be allied with the 6 human players, and players 8-9 should be on a seperate opposite team.
Heros:
P1= Arkantos
P2= Ajax
P3= Chiron
P4= Odysseus
P5= Reingleif
P6= Brokk & Eitri
P.S.
This is my first RPG and my first submission. So please give me some constructive critism on what i can do to make future projects better. |

I thought it's quite a great idea to have a RPG multiplayer in which every player's life, one and only single hero for each team, basically your life!, depends exclusively on his allies, since I believe you can't even be respawned by an ally...
So, as I don't play multi, I managed to try your scenario... single. It's got a good number of very beautiful eyecandies, especially near these very friendly refuges along the way, and I really appreciated the atmosphere and the textures at the swamps.
I'm not particularly crazy about the look of some battle areas, and the canyons system, but I guess you had to make a hard choice between challenging fights and pure beauty, too bad since you seems to be pretty good at it.
I will not say anything about the combat side, since I played with all of the seven heroes. But I think it could get a little frightning enough sometimes.
I'm really surprised this is your first and only submission, since it works so smoothly that you just walk very fine all along the way.
I'm curious about how real multi fanatics could react to such a game. Very interesting, even if I would love seeing more events, and maybe triggers. Plenty of room for that. Like some trully... unexpected stuff!
Good job, 'can't believe it's your first one though!
Why AOM only, a multiplayer choice?[Edited on 03/06/06 @ 02:57 PM]

Wow! Thanks alot. Believe it or not, this is my first scenario. It took me quite a while to create. I learned how to make a somewhat decent one through the help threads on this site. Like how to make camera tracks and use some triggers. In the future i hope to make better scenarios.
And I didn't kno that i could make this scenario for both games. If i knew how, i would. I just made it for the regular AoM game because i see alot of games for the titan expansion and figured the regular Aom users wanted some files they could download as well.
Another thing that i have to point out is that the canyon and tree paths were created soley for the purpose to stay as close to the End of Heros and Final Fantasy RPGs themes.
Anyway thanks for the comment, even though you are probably the only one who will comment or rate. And i'll try to improve the battle scenes a little bit more. |
