New unit: the famous Roman unit Legionary ("Legionarius" in Latin)
||AoM: The Titans
This mod added two versions of the unit: a standard version (Legionarius) with a close attack, and a special version (Legionarius (pilum)) with both ranged and close attack.
This Legionary is modelled on the base of the typical imperial legionary, equipped with the short sword "gladius", the javelin "pilum", the big rectangular shield "scutum" and the heavy cuirass "lorica segmentata".

This mod use new models and high-quality textures!
14/02/2007 : upgraded to version 1.1
(unit shadow and 'deathcorpse' added)

Flawless, the texture is more detailed then any I've ever seen. You spent a long time on this didn't you?
The Legionarius really stand out amongst all the other units in the game - because of the detail put into their texture.
You've made them as weak as any standard infantry unit in the game, but stronger so that they reach 194 hp with all the Infantry upgrades. The pilum throwing units are very versatile, serving as both ranged and melee counter calvary units, quite powerful. They aren't overpowered or underpowered, so that is good.
I love how the Pilum Legionarius' can use both ranged and melee attacks, I'll have to look into that unique ability for my mods... very inspiring. The addition of the new models for the Gladius and pilum add to the realism of the unit.
Awesome! Keep it up!
Great MOD! The Leigonary looks better in red than it does in blue I noticed. I am thinking of using this in a Roman civilization that i am trying to put together (if thats ok with you)
I sugest you make an archer unit to go with this and the cavalry unit.
It truly looks great. Also it adds a new unit to the game, and that is off course cool.
Keep making these kind of mods ;)

Thank all of you!
I'm glad that you have appreciate this mod!
*To Silver Colossus:
Well, yes, the typical roman shield is red (but, to be exact, Romans used also shields of other colours, like blue or black)
If you want to put this in a Roman civilization Mod, I'll be glad of this! Of course I agree, just give me credits for the units ;)
Besides, if you need some help (or informations) about Romans for your Roman civilization mod, you can ask me just posting here, or sending me a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org (I think to be quite "expert" about Romans ;)
