A good way to face Thor or Odin as Gaia.
Many players seem to boom/be defensive as Gaia. As far as I see it that's suicide against a good Thor.
Instead an Oranos-like 4:30 through Leto and being aggressive pays off. Automatons are a (inferior) substitute for prometheans, and handle myth ok. A well placed spider lair works wonders against attacks and raids. Going 2 rax 1 crax works well to exploit Norse's weak counter infantry early game.
Here I think my casting of spider lair, as well as finding his hunt, win me the game. I forgot sometimes how annoying valks can be as Gaia, but I think I repelled her well. If DaP had saved FF for the main fight he would have been able to push me back and perhaps destroy a manor and crax.

OK, I watched this game between the masters and I saw you win D&Ps charge cause of the spiders mainly. It was a very short game under 7 mins, and was surprised to see him resign so fast. Of course your attack would probably destroy his FB, but you had 6-7 citizens vs his 21 dwarves+vils & 3 oxcarts.
I think that he wasted his Valk in that suicide attack against few automatons and couple of heroes, while trying to get that one citizen repairing the crax.
Not sure I understood both your styles of playing, he had 2 ulfsarks killing your Oracle and thus delayed building the house, so the Hersir didn't come out of the Temple fast enough to build the rax and also the 2 ulfsarks were kind'a far off and had to race to the FB building spot.
Also, his FB wasn't near that centre TC and kind'a far from his main base, so he devoted 4 ulfsarks to guard his base.
Last, but not least, TA are good counters to infantry but he didn't make any (had 3vils+1dwarf on wood).
For the battle that judged the game, it was done just outside your base, in a tight space and thus no room for maneuvering of the ulfsarks to reach your Turmae, and I didn't see any real micro there.
We've talked so much about strategy in the forum, and I didn't see anything brilliant from Thor. OK, you got his hunting group with 3 Turmae, so what? they were 6 vils and good've fought your Turmae and killed them for the loss of perhaps 2, while he could've AQed vils from his base to harvest the sheep for food there and keep a steady flow.
So to recap, I think the FB should've been made close to the centre settlement (where the wall connector was), and sent more vils (not the dwarf) on wood to create a 3rd rax and spam TAs from there.
Of course it's easy to conduct criticism when not in the heat of battle, and I'm not such a good player as you guys, but these are my comments.
