The Modders and Mappers of the Liquid Fire Studios: Legends of the Third Age Team Proudly Present....
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
For over 2 years, the Legends of the Third Age team have been working to re-create the first installment of Tolkien's classic Lord of the Rings trilogy in AoM. In this long-awaited campaign, the player follows the adventures of the nine members of the Fellowship in their quest to destroy the One Ring. The scenarios are made to the highest quality by some of the best designers in the community, and will lead the player from the sweeping rural hills of the Shire to the deepest depths of Moria to the wooded ruins of Amon Hen. Complex map design and amazing eye candy will keep gamers coming back simply to watch the brilliantly created cinematics. Even more fantastic is the completely original soundtrack created by a true genius at his craft. From Rivendell to Mordor, Legends of the Third Age: The Fellowship of the Ring brings Middle-Earth alive like never before.
Aside from the excellent scenarios, The Fellowship of the Ring boasts what may be the largest and most expansive modpack in Age of Mythology history. Each weapon is authentic, and gamers will feel the fires of the Balrog and hear the crack of Gimli's axe. Each face of each hero is authentic and detailed, as is every structure in the many exotic Middle-Earth locales. The mods were made by legends in the Age of Mythology community, and the quality does show.
The Fellowship of the Ring has features such as:
- The world of J.R.R tolkein created in AoM for the first time!
- 12 beautiful maps, pain-stakingly made to the finest quality by some of the best Age of Mythology mappers out there.
- The largest and most detailed modpack ever created in AoM!
- Original and never before seen game play.
- Extensive and professional sound track.

**This project is dedicated to the late, great Flipbizcut (1979-2005).**
===IMPORTANT===
When installing, you extract the extractor to your AOM INSTALL FOLDER,
not the folder you downloaded the file to.
Your AoM install folder is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\.
It is NOT My Documents\My Games\Age of Mythology.
If you extracted incorrectly, and re-extracted, you must run the
lta.exe inside the AoM folder, NOT the one created from the
mis-extraction.
Please do not pester us about something not working if you did not
extract to the AOM INSTALL FOLDER.
If you are getting an error about rockalldll.dll, you have not
extracted it properly.

You need to launch that other version of age of mythology the setup gives you. It doesn't work otherwise!
It's called "Ita" and it is an exe file.[Edited on 09/09/06 @ 03:36 PM]

@Blue Dragon27: I answer to you because you are not touchy, you are a reasonable person and you accept a criticism.
Yes is true, I agree, It's not the easiest editor in the world to work with.
nevertheless I expressed my opinion only, what did I say wrong?
probably EazY_Ben and Guardian Of Isis they wanted that I wrote against my wish: Wow Amazing job, Amazing map design, Fabulous map design, Awesome map design?
I said simply my opinion, I remained disappointed, because I hoped that the Map design really represented the locations described in the book or shown in the movie, then they can be more creative, for instance, spending less time for those puzzles, there are too many riddles, and there are too many enigmas that are useless. even if you don't like it, this is my opinion![Edited on 09/12/06 @ 06:38 PM]

Never jump to conclusions too soon, coolbiker. I was reporting a poor 1 line review (which has now been removed), not your comment. |

Then what would you have had for creativity? Answer me that. Riddles, puzzles and other games (the pig-sticking, the maze,...) are IMHO the best way to fill in that long journey from the Shire until Amon Hen.
EDIT: By the way, the Shire, Bree, Isengard, Amon Sûl, Bag End, the Gate of Moria and the Great Hall looked pretty close to the movie's portrayal. The Rauros waterfall and its position as opposed to the placement of the Argonath (though they were Oranos statues)were exactly as in the book, where the Fellowship camped on the west bank of the Anduin. As for Amon Hen: It was described as an old throne and so I used a Zeus Wonder as a throne too, but is it really that necessary for you that we remake every location to the detail? That would make it predictable. Well, if you demand every location correct down to the rock, you shouldn't download anymore LTA projects. You'd be astonished to see Oscar's Paths of the Dead, though; the Mausoleum looks exactly like the movie's portrayal.[Edited on 09/19/06 @ 03:20 PM]

You should have it. :-S Try Search and look for "lta.exe" or "Legends of the Third Age.exe" (whatever its name is). |

I'm glad to say that The Two Towers is progressing well, with around half of the maps done and another half pretty much halfway! :D |
