For over 2 years, the Legends of the Third Age team have been working to re-create the first installment of Tolkien's classic Lord of the Rings trilogy in AoM. In this long-awaited campaign, the player follows the adventures of the nine members of the Fellowship in their quest to destroy the One Ring. The scenarios are made to the highest quality by some of the best designers in the community, and will lead the player from the sweeping rural hills of the Shire to the deepest depths of Moria to the wooded ruins of Amon Hen. Complex map design and amazing eye candy will keep gamers coming back simply to watch the brilliantly created cinematics. Even more fantastic is the completely original soundtrack created by a true genius at his craft. From Rivendell to Mordor, Legends of the Third Age: The Fellowship of the Ring brings Middle-Earth alive like never before.

Aside from the excellent scenarios, The Fellowship of the Ring boasts what may be the largest and most expansive modpack in Age of Mythology history. Each weapon is authentic, and gamers will feel the fires of the Balrog and hear the crack of Gimli's axe. Each face of each hero is authentic and detailed, as is every structure in the many exotic Middle-Earth locales. The mods were made by legends in the Age of Mythology community, and the quality does show.

===IMPORTANT===
When installing, you extract the extractor to your AOM INSTALL FOLDER,
not the folder you downloaded the file to.
Your AoM install folder is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\.
It is NOT My Documents\My Games\Age of Mythology.
If you extracted incorrectly,and re-extracted, you must run the
lta.exe inside the AoM folder, NOT the one created from the
mis-extraction.
Please do not pester us about something not working if you did not
extract to the AOM INSTALL FOLDER.
If you are getting an error about rockalldll.dll, you have not
extracted it properly.

Odiyo Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I download the file, extract it to C:/.../age of mythology, click the installer and put the files in C:/.../age of mythology, copy and paste the scenario folder into my documents/my games/age of mythology; but still no result! When i do that test scenario i get a farm in a small map, with the music playing, but no hobbit or anything like that.

I'm running on titans if that matters.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Odiyo Ok wow. I'm an idiot. Talk about a wasted night trying to get something to work. (Well, this and a bunch of other mods, with long sessions of AoM playing thrown in). I figured out what i was doing wrong. I had those files in the folders that the reader said not to have, and i wasn't clicking the right start-up button. Got it all figured out now, so I can finally start playing this.

Looks awesome by the way! I'm already excited and all i did was play the tester and put a few units on the map in the editor. I can tell already I'm going to like this mod.

i have looked through multiple pages of this forum looking for an answer to my problem and so far been unsuccessful.

Everytime i run the campaign i get stuck on scenario 3 (where i auto defeat) i assume i auto defeat beacause i have no hobbit. When i run the test scenario the only thing on the screen is a farm (no hobbit).

i have installed both the patch and the final release into c://program files/microsofr games/ age of mythology.

i have copied my scenario folder as well to my documents/my games/ age of mythology

The start screen on Age of mythology the titans is the modified one for LTA.. i am completely stumped.

The reason i ask this question is because i have seen it all over this thread with no answer (in fact everytime i see this problem the guy edits his post and said its fixed with no explanation to how he did it.)

one other thing ... wtf is ROTk? or w.e lol

**also it appears as if everytime i load it the main menu background screen switches between the final release one and the patch one...

** took out protox.xmb solved the problem ... but out of curiosity what is ROTK? and is TTT out yet?

presx785 I am so confused here.

1: I am TERRIBLE with computers, I have no idea how to copy or paste any folders extract anything etc etc.

2: I did the test thing and all it shows is a farm, no hobbit or anythinglike that.

3: I tried to play the campaign but whenever I do it just closes out the game.

Can someone please give me any ideas on how to do this? I have done everything it said to do and I STILL can't play this!
lord_tom1 um...I'm sure many people have asked this before, but the scenarios don't show up. The test works fine, and I can use the units in editor, but no scenarios! any suggestions?

RF_Gandalf Appreciate all of the work people put into this!

I have had repeated problems with the Moria scenario - 2 separate problems. First, There seem to be some tiny gaps in the invisible walls lining the different paths thru the Great Hall, so that when I am moving a group of the fellowship along the paths sometimes one of them gets 'squeezed' thru the gap and then cannot get back thru - sometimes this is in times of combat along the paths, but it ruins the game as the member cannot rejoin the others no matter what I try. Of couse frequent saves help...

The bigger problem comes with entering Balins tomb room - the fellowship enters, the little scene with reading the journal occurs, then there is no attack - I have done this 4 times now, even restarting the whole scenario from the start. I do note that when I am in there the 'Objectives' page is not updated - the box for completing the bringing of the relics to the temple is not checked, even though I did it and the boulder is removed and the
group can procede along the path to the tomb room. Any suggestions?

EDIT:
Another problem in the Forests of Ithilien scenario - when Faramir enters the room behind the waterfall there is a cut to a scene where he stands in front of another soldier but nothing happens - no real action(well, the models breath and flex a bit), no words, no dialog at the bottom.

I do not know enough about scenario design to know how to fix these triggers - is there an easy way to repair the problem?
