Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
*********************************************
Presented by ArchNidhogg and Jakwarrior of The ArchDesigner Syndicate
-----------------------------------------------
Enter the World of Ivalice... Then Desperately Attempt to Leave.
As does Marche Radiuju, the human, when a mysterious book brings him and his friends Ritz Malheur and Mewt Randell into the mysterious other realm. Control him on his journey with the curious moogle Montblanc, the quiet Bangaa Basil, and the imposing Nikolai as they attempt to break Marche free from the grasp of the Totemas, the Prince, and the Queen.
Follow the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance storyline, in a new, innovative, and well presented version of the handheld release on Age of Mythology.
--------------------
Taking Control
--------------------
You will control one unit, in an RPG-style scenario. This unit can be any of the five races of your choice:
-Humans, the general and practical. They start with 3 basic jobs instead of one, and have the widest range of abilities, from the Ninja's stealth to the Fighter's power.
-Bangaas, the strong and fierce. Most Bangaa jobs, such as the Gladiator, focus on offensive ability or brute strength for defense.
-NuMous, the magic users. Blast your surroundings into oblivion with the Illusionist's powers, or use the Morpher to change into creatures of your choice.
-Moogles, the lightweight and resourceful. Control the powers of pandora with the Gadgeteer, or rip through your enemies with the Gunner.
-Vieras, the proud and the mysterious. Create enormous creatures with the Summoner, or use the long ranged bow of the Sniper.
Of course, these abilities will not be avaliable right from the start. As you complete quests and kill enemies, you will unlock these jobs and skills, and bring yourself closer to your ultimate goal.
--------------------
Diversity Reigns
--------------------
Nobody likes those RPGs that have the same storyline every time you play. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance presents you with choices on what missions to accept - one for each area of the map - so that every time you play, you can create a different game.
Begin by removing The Cheetah clan from Nubswood, with the aid of Ritz and Shara. Or will you kill the criminal Godeye, to take the path to Llednar?
Then move on to investigate a mysterious power in the Ulei River. Or will you steal a boat to listen to an old man's ranting? Try a different mission each time you play!
--------------------
Abilities to Own Them All
--------------------
You sit down at a table, face the enemy, and then pull out your usual eating utensil. Of course, it is your nice, clean, DEATH SICKLE. Yes, such occurances are normal in the world of Ivalice, where the abilities you can use pwn.
If you stay with any job long enough, you may master one, or two, abilities. Some abilities run as expected - such as the Black Mage's lightning storm. But other abilities, such as the Gladiator's blitz, or the Illusionist's prominence are spectacular and awe-inspiring.
The abilities of lower jobs, such as the thief's last haste or the Archer's double arrows, are less magnificent. However, if you stick to it for a while, you will watch your monitor burst into flames from the awesome abilites. Yes, that is a good thing.
--------------------
Deadly Bosses (w00t)
--------------------
We have all seen at one point some scenario that sticks a unit on the map, boosts its hp, enlarges it until you can't see its head, and calls it a boss. This is not one of those scenarios. Quell in fear of being confused or subjected to the powers of lawshifting, and throw your computer out of a window when you die to a Totema's ultima magic.
-----------------------------------------------
Famfrit. Ultima. Adremmalech. Exodus. Mateus. Can you overcome the powers of Remedi?
This scenario has been brought to you by The ArchDesigner Syndicate.

Playability: 5
Very fun map to play, each level is an interesting new chalenge. No real issues here.
Balance: 2
Unfortunately some of the classes are unbalanced (e.g. gadgeteer is overpowered) and there and several glitches that detract form the enjoyment of the game (for example on some bosses you can get knocked onto places and get stuck then the only thing you can do is delete...also if you lose players along the way you have little hope of winning and you just wasted four hours)
Creativity: 5
The way that the game flows with the classes and level up system is great and i havn't seen it done as well as this in any other map. The boss battles are unique as well as challenging. Many new ideas are used in a way that contribute to the overall experience.
Map Design: 5
The design looks great and the eye candy contributes to the story. The way that the terrain is designed also is in correlation with the mood for that particular part of the story. The lighting is done in a way that does not interfere with the gameplay but adds to the authenticity of each part.
Story/Instructions: 5
The story is well done and instructions are clear. I particularily like how if you only have 2 players the other 2 old men delete themselves at the beginning hence allowing you to skip the cinematic. The music and camera angles of the cinematics are effective and do not interfere with the dialog. The cinematics are of are long enough to show character development but not so long that they make you wonder when it's going to end.
Additional Comments:
I've played this many time but have never beat it and don't think i ever will, each time i lose its for a different reason :( (once my friend got knocked into jail by a meteor in the battle with cid, ect)
