SUN TEMPLE

THIS DOES NOT REPLACE A BUILDING IT IS A COMPLETELEY
NEW BUILDING.

This adds a new building to the game (AOM orAOM:TT)It was modelled on hades' wonder.Personally I think the Poseidon texture isn't too good, but hey. Anyways, When placed as different major gods it looks different. ExceptEgyption.

It took quite a fair amount of effort to make this so if you use it in a scenario are something please let me know. I won't go mad if you don't tell me as long as you have some kind of credits with me in :) thankyou.

There are some screenies in there 4 you to look before installing the mod. Please bear in mind that this is my first actual 'model' mod, not just changing the textures. :D

INSTALLATION

simply:

1. Browse to (default) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology
We'll call this $base

2. Extract everything in the models folder $base\models

3. extract everything in the textures folder to $base\textures


4. extract everything in the anim folder to $base\textures

5. add the contents of protox.txt into your protox.xml/xmb file

To put it in AOM just change the display id n stuff in the proto file. details on how to do this are on aom.heavengames.com


Personally (and supposed to be) when placed as Zeus it looks like a
'Sun Temple' hence the name. All the other Gods were just for
fun.

Wow! This is very impressive Sepreath! The model looks great, and the texture is very nice.

The sun temple is fantastic! How long did it take you to make?

sdorey before and after this really REALLY good i dont know what to say. here lemme ask will you make a civ pack with the sun temple or a another mod pack?
ricorianguardian For me ther is no $base/models, or textures. What i have is AI2, data, savegame, scenario, screemshots, sound, startup, triggers2, users. And there are no subfolders by the name of models or textures. Where do i find the places to put these folders?

However, from the screenies, it definately looks cool.

hakuo600 this is a great mod but what it lacks is a purpose, its like the unit campfire it does nothing whatsoever i suggest you make a unit like a sun priest or whatever that it can train
Lord_Erik0173 It doesn't have to have a purpose, but it has potential as a purpose. IT doesn't need a unit to train, it could be a specail building in a scenario, or it could be a capturable object in a scenario, or something like that. There are many uses for a building other than training units.

Yeah I'm thinking about making a whole modpack with some other buildings and units, but I realeased the first building to see if I was going in the right direction. You know, stop myself blundering off into the point of pulling my hair out with frustration.

There isn't a folder called $base. It stands for where your AOM folder is. by default it would be:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology

I just put $base for short.
hakuo600 is it ok for me to make a mod of the mod u made so it trains a unit and send it to u in an e mail

Yeah, so long as you give me some credit 4 it :D

I've submitted a Sun Priest as well which should come up for download soon. You could make it train that, which would be kool.
