Map was Oasis and I think that the setup favoured my opponent and had me at a disadvantage for 2 reasons:
1) his 3 TCs where on his side, while I had 1 TC in the middle of the map.
and
2) the 2 relics, where on his side of the map, and where: a) Trios Bow (+2 archer range & LOS) and b) Toothed Arrows (+5% archer pierce attack)
Despite this, he never got hold of the 2 relics which would've given him a tremendous advantage to the already "archer prone" Hades.
Battle raged on, while I did a couple of raids with my cav, and he used hoplites for his raid.
A nice touch by him, was -apart from walling up his side of the map and archers firing behind the central wall, he WALLED UP MY MARKETS in the corner.
Wow, I'd never seen that done before and it was a very clever gold strangle for a while. Luckily, 3 RC took out his vils doing the walling and towering up my corner, and 2 portable rams took care of the walls, and so I was able to start my trading again.
I went Rag and attacked with my many heroes as I had maxed out in vils, but his defense was good and was only able to take out 1 TC, which he rebuilt.
All in all, I think I played poorly again and then I had to quit cause I had to go to an appointment. It was an unrated game which I enjoyed very much, but in the end I think that he would've won.
