Hello all,
well, first to my new "mate":
@Ragnos:
Well, first time I read your "review" I was not sure if it was constructive or just an insult. Almost everything you said is strictly incorrect. The original sketch is from Monty Python Theatre Group - very well known comedians since the late 1960's in UK - and since early 1970's woldwide known by TV shows and movies. Surely, this kind of british "black humor" is not everyone's taste.
Also, the sounds and music I added have a very good timing and I will NEVER edit this again.
The ONLY thing I would myself change in this RMS is the scene where is says: "... concealed in a hollow ...". In this scene there might can occur a black "bar" in the background, but, that's it!
Next time you review my stuff, please do not make it a way that you rate it just because of your own taste, and neither nor to degrade the MAIN current rating of this file by giving a VERY low rate. So, just make a comment next time. I have watched your profile, and what I have seen does not convince me at all to judge me like that. Maybe, you should concentrate on your own work for the AOM community, since every scenario/"campain" you submitted seemed to be not finished at all...
@ I Love Bananas:
No problem at all. I now published 2 different stand-alone versions of this movie in wmv and flash format in my forum:

@ X_MOSS:
Yes, the original sketch were first broadcasted on british television in the year of 1970, in the TV show "Monty Python's Flying Circus" - Season 2, Episode 11: "How Not To Be Seen".

@ Ragnos:
The conversation with you is over. I explained in details before what you have missed in mind. I do not care about ratings, but I do care about correct or fair statements.

Ragnos, your standards aren't everybody else's, you know. Handing out a stupid review is bad enough, but asking OTHER PEOPLE to rate this thingy down because you want them to is plain immature. Go try making one of these yourself, from a Random Map script, and you'll appreciate the work taken by MP to just give us a little entertainment.
Personally, I give MP a 4.5. But i won't review. |

my points were for the random map script..
i did not ask anyone else to rate it down, i just wish they wouldnt
the random map was impressive, and was the sound. However, the comedy was not very well executed.
i do not give stupid ratings, my rating was for the value of the map, and while impressive, the timing was horribly off and i did not laugh once...
if im missing the point of this map and it is not a comedy, then i will take back what i have said.
For my work, go to file 5952, Rebirth of Atlantis
Edit:
PS: Okay, i may seem like an (word for butt) but i have my reasons... anyway, i am changing my original rating, after looking at the various script[Edited on 01/12/07 @ 08:56 PM]

I thought it was funny. Haven't seen the original yet, but I am somewhat familiar with Montey Python. Anyway I will not rate it since I am not really qualified to rate maps or scripts as I have no experience with programming. I will say that you gave an example of where not to put the files in your instructions, which was confusing. Why not just write the directory where they do go? Also if people have things in their sound or RMS folder that they want to keep, they do not necessarily have to overwrite the whole folder. |

1. I have seen every movie from the Monty Python theatre group and also almost every TV-show.
2. I gave an example - even for computer noobs - how to install this RMS with sounds, and I said that nothing will be overwritten. Just read the download topic carefully. The main point is that many people have the AOM program folder on different drives (C: or D: or E: or ...)
I am willing to improve this, but first tell me again what is still missing after you have read this reply.
Thanks for your comment :)

Yes, surely this is not everyone's taste. Some ppl like this british (old) black humor, some not. This also concerns music in any style ... |
