The prophecy told Odysseus that he would be gone for twenty years. The Trojan War lasted ten. Now he will set out on a journey which will permanently mark his life.
Odysseus left Troy with the remainder of his army and sailed off into the Mediterranean, aiming for his homeland of Ithaca. Poseidon, who had a personal grudge against Odysseus, whipped up a storm just south of Sparta which would send him off into the deep unknown. He landed on an island, hoping to repair his ships and sail for home. But he wasn't alone on the island...
The cyclops Polyphemus lived in a cave on the island, his friends in a village just behind it. And they certainly didn't like their island being invaded by men!!! You must take control of Odysseus and his crew, and destroy the Cyclops and the village of his kinsmen.
Note: This is my first scenario, and it's very noobish, but if you think it shows promise please tell me!
Playability: 2
This map is playable, but bearly. As there is no AI, it makes for an easy 10 min (max) kill of the enemy.
Balance: 3
This was very hard to judge, as there was no AI to determin if one could beat it or not, but the enemy did start off with an army worthy of fearing.
Creativity: 3
This has a good starting base idea and showed signs of growth (like the cave), but it just lacked the, um... expertise behind it to make it move, as I belive it is lacking in the area of Eye-candy. I have no doubt soon through time and observations, you will soon be creating awesome scenarios.
Map Design: 4
In this area I thought you excelled at, you had very good town outlay, complete with shipyard and fortresses. If I could say anything that you could inprove on it would be to make the cave look like a cave and to randomize the tree clumps, as rectangluar tree clumps arn't so attractive. Apart from that it has everything you could want.
Story/Instructions: 3
There is definatley a story, but it is not portrayed at all (apart from whats given above ^). If one checked the "Objectives" in the editor, one could see that you had intended for there to be instructions, just again, didn't know how to make them work.
Additional Comments:
If you would liek to giveme your email address I will email you something that should help you a lot, but of course you don't have to ;)
anyway this is a good first SP scenario, and paves the way for future scenarios ~ Steak
