AoM: The Titans |
New unit: the classical roman officer Centurion ("Centurio" in latin).
This new unit has a texture based on the typical equipment of a imperial centurion, with the typical oval shield, the chain armour and the typical roman decoration on the chest (the "Phalerae").
He also can empower the attack of other units, leading them in battle.
This mod use new models and high-quality textures!

Very cool unit. Great texture/animation. Excellent balance. Well done!
Additional Comments:
AoM should have included a Roman civ... I ended up inserting this unit into my Greek techtree, which is a bit of a trade off, but overall I am happy just to have this unit in the game. |

basicly I just forgot how to do the protox file. |

This is awesome! The textures are great, the unit is fun to play with, he actually LOOKS like a roman (unlike some other attempts at roman mods which end up looking nothing like romans).
Additional Comments:
Absolutely great work, I downloaded your preatorianus and legionaire and they are all of an incredibly high quality as well as this one. Keep up the amazing work!

It doesn't works for me, i can't see the centurio in the editor. I think i screw up with that damn proto file...
Edit : i tried pasting the protox txt in the xml file, as you said in your readme, but now my game crash everytime i try to launch it. Now i have to reinstall everything T___T
Someone could explain me how to make the mods work ? I still don't understand what i did wrong.[Edited on 08/30/10 @ 02:55 PM]

Theris, you don't need to re-install anything. You saved a copy of your original protox.xml file, right? Just copy it over the version you edited this mod into, and your game will work just fine. I would bet that you mixed up the xml code syntax, by omitting something like the /unit after the unit you added. Something small like that is enough to crash the game.
You should look through the info here:

What you want to tell is i should copy my protox file in case of doing the step wrong ?
Okay i understand so far, but i still don't understand wut i must do to add new models. I already know that i need to add some files in data, anim, etc. but what am i supposed to do to add the protox file of the new modelling unit with the basic protox file ? |
