Well, Crashtest and I were fortunate enough to find each other online and get in a couple of games (Yay).
Things started out well with a 2v2 on Oasis, I think. His Loki, my Zeus, vs the evil Egyptian empire. Sadly not all sides of the evil Egyptian empire were worthy of their empire status, and a quick switch in tactics to some teamwork saw the destruction of their stronger link.
That'd be entitled 'Crashtest and Butonfly hand it out', or some such.
The second game Crashtest and I went at it again, this time trying our hand at a rated. (Note, i found out afterwards that Mr. Dark Blue was one of those almighty 17++ players in disguise). Anyway, we were up against two Zeus this time, and perhaps the funny (albeit ironic) thing was that just prior to the match we were talking strategy with SamHam in the (funnily enough) Strategy chat room.
I mentioned something about having problems facing Norse, to which he suggested a Mino/Tox army.
Well, what do you know, Poor Crashtest (Loki) got swamped by a minor/tox army. Though, I wasn’t immediately aware. I was doing bad as it was already, but help still managed to come. Anyway, see my quick protective action, and then Crashtest loose all moral and leave me to it. (Dont worry Crashtest, I love you. Your pain is my pain, so there will be no bad feelings stored).
Though seriously! Red was so withheld I swear we could have repelled Blue and gone for some sort of a win!.
Anyway, Clannies, enjoy if your so inclined to. In the future I've learnt to A: Set up any sort of forward base immediately with Crashtest, so as to maximize on whatever extra few bits of damage his Norse pressure can dish out. And B: Defend my Loki brother when confronted with the Zeus/Greece possibility of military prowess. I can make Miniatures too you know!
