Alright, i admit i would have given this a five, but no. Why? Because at the start of the game its all good, buying villies for gold and taking the plenty vault. But as the game goes by, it starts to get a bit boring because once you get all upgrades and vills. Its just simple Attack and defend game. You should have made more challenges then those simple factors. Maybe like gather wood, good and food but there hard to manage with the price all that. Certainly as the game nears 1 hour, you feel quite bored and sart to feel like resigning. And when one person resigns, another person will then the domino effect comes along. This game needs a lot of strategic actions and challenges.
Well you excel here with flying colours over here. Everybody starts out equal, no units, defences and 1 vill. from on people will get the choice of unit buying and upgrades. Nonetheless the game isn't unbalanced in any way. The unit prices were even fair good since the strong units were at a high price while casual units are more cheap. Great is all i can say. ;)
Well, like i explained above, the game turns to old boring attack and defend style game. Sure the gold management start was great, but the proceeding gets boring. Also, the gold buying shop has been used so many times, and actually its not tends to be a great idea any more. What you need is to add imaginery ideas to the map. Sure ideas may be hard but concentrate enough and achieve an idea. Next time improve the strategy of game and use original ideas, not old ones. thats what makes games more fun, Something "new". ;)
Map Design: 3
I've seen some of your eyecandy pieces, and i'm pleased to say yourm pretty good at it. Somehow, all you got was the same Grass B terrain all over the map with embellishments. A great factor in eyecandy is Terrain Mixing. Covering a map with just a single type of terrain will not really look great in the long run. Next time you make a Map, and you want great eyecandy, think of this. "Terrain Mixing" Thats the only bit you have trouble with.
They were great, the Intro cinematic explains everything throughly, and what to do in this game, even newbies would understand. Even if they didn't watch the Cinematic they would still learn from the game play itself. i marked you down one score because this map had no story whats so ever. an Empire was attacking another empire for no exact reason, and the Palace was to die because of no reason. If you wish to am for higher, i suggest you had more story. Thats the only problem you have. Instructions = good, story = Needs more thinking and improvements. Its quite easy to maintain a story in a multiplayer game. Have a look at oscar's new map for instance. GJ, and Keep the good work up!
Good Job, keep it up!
