OK, I'm presenting you with my 2 latest rated games, I play Thor against first vs Zeus, and second vs Thor players.
The first game is short and nice to watch, as I'd never seen a Greek villie rush before. He demolished my TC and base fast, as I wasn't prepared for something like this. At first, I thought he was going to bolt my Ulfsark, but he saved it for my Valk instead. I also made a mistake in not having enough housing, so my Hersir never got out. I know, silly of me, but I was trying to wall up the entrance to my base in the Alfheim map, since I saw his Temple up front and realized he was going to be very aggressive.
Now that I know, I will be able to deal with it in future games.
In the second game on Highland, the opponent Thor guy went with 2 ulfsarks and tried to prevent me from building a dock.
I retreated my Ulfsark, made a 2nd and finally built the dock while they were hacking my 2 Ulfs. Phew, it was pretty hard and frustrating for me and almost got a heart attack in doing it due to my age.
I uped just a few secs faster and started bulding stuff, while my Valk was sent forward with attack move. She fell on his 1st Hersir, I pulled her out and sent her to his base where I managed to cast FF on his wood.
Then, he came for my 3 docs (yes, I managed to have 3 docks on the contested river), and a fight ensued both on land and water. I thought I'd lost and started retreating to heal, when he resigned. I guess, I microed my ships better and had enough force to crush him, so he quit.
Both games are very short, and very didactic in my opinion. Watch and learn from my mistakes.
