Here is a quick visual basic script that I put together to parse through a Z1.txt file and fix the errors. It pads all the un_name fields out to 4 characters & then adjusts the length as needed.
You can extract & save the file in the same directory as AOMEd. After you have decompiled your scenario according to the instructions in the guide posted (make sure you have the advanced option "Enable SCN unit editing" checked!) and have your Z1.txt file, follow these steps:
1) Double click the file TOS_FixZ1.vbs from windows explorer
2) Enter the path to your Z1.txt file.
3) Click Ok
The script will then run and return a message stating how many objects were fixed. The existing Z1.txt file will be backed up as TOS_Z1.txt and a new Z1.txt file will be written. You can then proceed with the instructions in the unit sizing guide and modify the unit scaling as desired. ALL THIS PROGRAM IS DOING IS CORRECTING LENGTH & FORMATTING ERRORS IN THE Z1.txt FILE!! You must still follow everything in the guide and then take these extra steps after using AOMEd to decompile the scn. I'm sure the fix for AOMEd will be out soon but in the meantime, this will keep designers designing.
As a test, I created a scn that has one of every single unit available in AOM. I then decompiled using AOMEd, fixed the Z1.txt, changed the sizes on about 30% of the units, then recompiled with AOMEd. It worked perfectly, but took about 15 mins to recompile on my 1 Ghz 256mb machine. I stretched & skewed some units in various directions...
Thanks for posting it for me. I could't get it because the file is no longer where it used to be, This should be interesting...
He he, made a map with a really long and thin battle boar!

If they're going slow, just go to triggers > effect > Modify Protounit and choose speed, how fast(three is really fast), which player, and which protounit(unit). Nice work btw! Also, where do I save it in AOM/TT?
