Please note that this is a minigame, but don't let the 'mini' fool you- this took much more triggers than the average minigame.
Introduction:
Grab your spear and armour, and jump into the Minefield. You'll be driven against three other players in a game of endurance and luck.
Gameplay:
Every 15 seconds a patch of terrain will appear on the map- randomly. If you step on this patch (or anyone else) you'll be bombed and die. Every 30 seconds a random event will occur; helping/hurting all players- one or a few. Godpowers will be granted throughout the game, helping you dispose of your opponents.
-Note: that there are no safe places, there's 36 possible places for the terrain to spawn.
Credits:
Myself (Xzyiothe) for putting the time into this.
Nottud, for trigger help. Use of his Editor Superpack. And his new Terrain Copy/Paste triggers that made this scenario possible, and innovative.
Yeebaagooon, for promising to give me trigger help after his nice lunch (which nottud beat him to). However, he did have a Minefield game in his Minigames X game. Therefore he deserves some credit.
Installation:
-Download
-Extract to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\Scenario
Comments:
This game will offer you a helpful intro cinematic, good use of QVs, unique and innovative gameplay.
Please note this is played FFA (Free-For-All.) I'd update the post, but due to my connection; that'd take longer.

It is quite a fun game. You are the first person to make a map with the trigger appart from me!

There are tons of things you can do with your new triggers- though any ideas I think up I'll be sure to pass onto you or yeebaagooon. I'm aiming for a quite bigger project right now :D

Ripoff of Alexgd92's minefield. It's a little different but the ideas similar. Its an alright game though.

Haliph,
I assure you this is no 'rip off' of any game. Using a basic idea and adding your own twist is completely fine. Only other Minefield game I've played is the one in Yeebaagooon's Minigames X game.
It picks a random place on the map to paint a dark patch a terrain, the terrain painting triggerwork took 144 triggers alone. Then those fire the bombs, I forget since I haven't been online forever, but that's atleast another 1 trigger each. Add that to godpowers, random events, and cinematics... That's ALOT of heavy trigger work, done by triggers confirmed to only be used twice in an online game.
You might aswell call every escape game a rip off, their all one basic idea with it's own twist.
After all that, if you still wish to call this a rip off; feel free to. And I'm glad you enjoyed it.

144's not that big even for a minigame. All my projects have amassed over 500 triggers with multiple effects in each of them. Though i applaud you for your originality yes ive seen about 4 minefield games but at least you came up with it on your own
