I thoroughly enjoyed this scenario, I happen to like all things zombie. It had a little of everything and the creativity that went into it's design delighted me. One downside though is I thought it was a little short. I do understand it is part one. I expect to see more!
I began playing and at first I thought this is going to be hard, I only have one guy! The first two fight scenes were difficult for me until I realized I could leave the screen until the ancestor power expired. The battle after the tent was (to me) truly epic. I really could not retreat and I thought I was done for, therefore, when I defeated all of the enemies and went on to fight the magma looking guy? and the laser towers I was disappointed. I really expected something amazingly awful...I was given a building (which is the virus source)that I destroyed in three hits. I think it should have had more HP or at least I should have triggered another attack when I reached it and began to destroy!
Like I said I like zombies and zombie related stuff. I think although many things have been over done this was truly an original idea. The cinema sequence was really good for setting the scene and also was well done (i.e. not cheesy). I liked the character Duncan as well as the hermit in the tent. The little power up he gave you was really cool. Only thing that could have possibly made that better would have been a little training montage. :)
Map Design: 4
The map was designed well, it was a standard size but did not feel short or cramped. Everything was positioned well and with a purpose not just thrown together. You could tell it was a labor of love that had some time put into it. I especially liked the hermit camp and the boat scene, which by the way was masterful. There was such a small area of water but it felt large.
The story as I said before was entertaining and original, considering. I really look forward to the other chapters? in this series. I never got confused about what I was supposed to be doing. I like things really strait forward and simple (in the instruction department).
Additional Comments: Fantastic work! I would love to see more. I will gladly play and review everything you do if you keep up the good work. It was a beautiful scenario.
