Bon Pseudo Civ Mod Version 2

Author File Description
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
This is the second version of an in-editor civilization with 2 campaigns, 4 god powers, 164 new units (61 campaign exclusive). Some units are simply retextured, some are slightly remodeled, and some are completely overhauled. There are 72 technologies of varying originality. There were over 120 changes made to the campaigns and units.

Comments would be appreciated, and I hope they are in good taste.

Thanks for downloading, and enjoy.

Here are the sites for the two threads discussing this mod, with some screen shots

MythicRuler Thanks I now will install this. Glad you did the installer, for huge mods like this I find it really is needed. :)
Rating: 3
I wish I could give this a 3.5 but the modding section does not allow this. Overall this mod was good and I was entertained by it but there were some faults that had some points docked.

-The buildings were for the most part new models.
This gave it an actual new civ feel.
-The units looked good, their textures were good
and they fought well enough and seemed balanced.
-The god powers were interesting, summoning the
dead and animal as well as destroying farms and
giving a strong resource advantage
-The units working the buildings added a touch
that I liked.
-The last age texture looked very good and new.
-All units had upgrade textures and techs and
sounds, as well as histories. This is commonly
left out.
-Big plus for all the content.

-The main con is that there were no rollover
text helps. I didn't know what all the units
or godpowers or technologies did unless I went
to history.
-Protective wind and Crenellations had no
history or roll-over help so I had no idea
what they did.
-The library took away from the new civ feel
because it was just a citadel with minor
-I did not know what a lot of the units did,
especially the Tribal bearer.
-Rhino animations weird but animating is hard
so this wasn't a huge problem. Hound had no
new texture.
-There was no fortress type building.
-God powers had too many uses, limit to one.

Additional Comments: I will change this review if improvements are made, mainly adding rollover help. This can be done by adding lines to the xpacklanguage and then in the protox and techtreex and godpowers find the rollovertextid and change it. Keep modding, and hope to see more from you.

Thanks for the review MythicRuler. I am glad that you enjoyed my mod. Thanks for all the possitive feedback on everything, and for the criticisms too. For your cons, I am pretty sure that there are histories for the crennellations and protective wind, and I think the Hound has an upgrade texture after researching Beasts. I can work on the rollover text thing, it was just something that I always removed. I will have to write new ones for a couple of the units and god powers though. I actually intentionally left out a fortress, because there are unlimited Storm Towers, and the Barracks, Corral, and Tower of Bon train a lot of military units. I thought it would present a balance issue. Thanks again for the review.
MythicRuler I didnt know the storm towers were unlimited. Thats a good point for removing the fortress, there would have been balance issues.

I pretty much have the revision done, but I'm still working on a couple small things. Sorry its taking so long, I had a vacation, and kind of a busy summer. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it up.

EDIT: I've had it done, but I am unable to upload it. I think that my dial up internet connection is too slow (my last attempt lasted about three hours). So, I'm going to find a faster internet connection, and try it there. It is a shame, because the rollover texts took awhile and are pretty cool.

EDIT 2: It is uploaded with all of its greatness. I found a friend with a decent connection. Enjoy.

EDIT 3: I added to the general history files, to make this seem more like its own civilization.

EDIT 4: I added more to the histories, shields to the tribal units, and that is about it.

Also, I wouldn't mind getting more reviews, at least two or three people have downloaded, but I only have one review. Enjoy.
