This scenario is about a Cyclops named Polyphemus who is part of the great empire called the Cycloptian League. It has two radically different storylines, depending on if you decide to take the path to power and evil, or to good and justice. There are plenty of characters to help you along the way.
You MUST read the Treason readme file first, for a background history, and some other notes as well. It is meant to be played on 'Easy' mode (it's not actually that easy). By Istari.
This scenario proudly recieved the honour of appearing in Gamestar Magazine, Germany's biggest PC gaming magazine. |

There is no notisable bugs that permit a person from playing, except maybe in the Good side when I had diffuculty casting the Forest Fire in the right place.
Balance: 5
Very good, except maybe that the final battle might be a bit complicated since you need to use the healing miracle many times.
Creativity: 5
Well, it's preaty original. One of the few RPG-like games where the protagonist didnt go on a quest because his family got killed or ect. ect. Good use of some of those special effects.
Map Design: 5
The design is realistic and in some places breath taking. Nothing overly fancy to slow down your computer and nothing to plain to make you just throw up. There is also some really nice effects involved, and when I say nice effects I dont just mean that old leaves falling to the ground stuff.
Story/Instructions: 4
Preaty clear. I got stumped (as I said earlier) on the forest fire part and also I rushed into the underworld passage not realizing that it will just teleport me there. So I had trouble with that.
Additional Comments:
A preaty fun game, can get you hooked until you won. Beside a few mediocre defects here and there, which are only based on human error, the scenario is preaty good. Yes, there is no cinematics, but the scenario's overrall experience makes up for that. If you like to play at least 1 or 2 custom scenarios or if you're a big custom scenario's player, this map is worth while to download. |

Well, quite playable. I was playing quite stupid in the beginning.(Lost most cyclopses at the Troll attack, didn't know i had to use Forest Fire to get throught the trees, etc...)
Balance: 4
Well it was quite balanced.
Creativity: 5
So very creative. The story is already very creative, and you can choose from two paths: Power or Justice.
Map Design: 5
Map was Eye Candy! Very beautiful. The two paths are each carried out on different locations, but in the end you get to fight The Guardian Of Light.
Story/Instructions: 4
As i already said, the story was very Creative. But the objectives only come lately, so you often don't know what to do.
Additional Comments:
Prolably the best AoM scenario i've played! I was wondering, at the Power end Hades predicts a war against Elves and Dwarves, and at the Justice end Skult predicts The Guardian will return. Will this happen in an aftermath scenario? I'll surely want one![Edited on 02/01/04 @ 04:55 PM]

This map play good overall but you do not have alot of unit to start out with. But the game then start getting more interesting later on.
Balance: 4
Balance is a good, but well slow down the more you reveal off of the map. That is only if you have a slow computer.
Creativity: 4
It is good to see that one of the most unlikely hero does come out in the map.
Map Design: 5
Finding that the arena part is highly designed, and also you get to chose what do you want with your objective.
Story/Instructions: 4
The storyline is smooth thoughout the game, there are two different outcome. You do not see that on most of the maps.
Additional Comments:
Just keep the up the good job with your maps, I found this one of my best one that I have played.[Edited on 02/01/04 @ 04:56 PM]

It is so fun to play, with lots of nice plot twists.
Balance: 4
On easy, it is relitavely balanced, but any further than that and it get tougher.
Creativity: 5
The whole world that has been created is amazingly creative and detailed.
Map Design: 4
There is lots of different landscapes here, all of which have been designed well.
Story/Instructions: 5
The story is rich, with lost of different characters, and, with two outcomes, it is that little bit more varied.
Additional Comments:
This map takes a while to download, but is impressive in every way. Download it, you won't forget it. If you read the readme then you should have no trouble installing it.[Edited on 11/12/03 @ 11:57 PM]

It was fun at times, but I felt it was geting repetive. Do this, do that. Yeah. Ok. It was unique at time and I liked that, but the general atmosphere was beyond what can be explained in words. But thats a good thing, right?
Balance: 3
Its obvious that you're meant to win this scenario with little effort. I think scenarios should of this genre should REQUIRE alt things in order to complete them. I mean, if theres going to be side quests type of things, why not make them worth your time. It's pointless if you can win just as easy without them.
Creativity: 4
This was probally one of the best qualites. Its good to adapt old things and make them better.
Map Design: 3
I hate to give it such a low score but I saw nothing special. It looked poorly laid out with less eye candy then even a random map.
Story/Instructions: 5
This was, obviousally, the best quality of the scenario. Everything was planned well and triggered well. Good job.
Additional Comments:
Great Map, but in the scenario design world, gaps need to be filled.
Quality over Quanity. |

Playability: 5
No technical problems and a scenario that moves along smoothly. No complaints here!
Balance: 4
The balance was all right, but the scenario was not much of a challenge (except for the 'Eagles').
Creativity: 4
I like the overall scenario, but the different tasks are all more or less the same. A little more variation would have been great.
Map Design: 5
The map looks great!
Story/Instructions: 5
The instructions are clear, and you get two stories for the price of one. What more could you ask?
Additional Comments:
It did not go down in the score, but I don't think that I will play this scenario again now that I have followed both storylines. But I guess that's quite normal for an RPG-like scenario.[Edited on 01/23/04 @ 07:05 AM]

Playability: 5
Very smooth and easy to play. Straight from one mission to the other, no long-winded sections.
Balance: 4
A little bit too easy to win but about the right balance.
Creativity: 5
Superb. Two possible scenarios, it's brilliant.
Map Design: 5
Excellent. Cycloptian city et al, all very good.
Story/Instructions: 5
Enough story here to fill a campaign and the instructions are simple and remind of what's just happened.
Additional Comments: The best scenario i have ever played, including the "real" ones.
