Create Hidden Cheat Codes!

Green_Turtle This allows you to make hidden cheat codes for your scenarios that don't show people what they are in the editor! It should be very useful for those who like to hide things in thier creations. This does not work for non-expansion players, sorry. This will not overwrite any other triggers you have. DO NOT replace any of the other files in the folder with this one when installing.

1. Copy/Exctract the "z_HiddenCheats.xml" to the "trigger2" directory in your AOM directory, NOT THE ONE IN "My Documents\My Games\Age of Mythology"!

2. Open the "z_HiddenCheats.xml" file with notepad and look at the part that says:

<Expression>trChatHistoryContains("Code91_", 1)</Expression>

Change the part that says "Code91_" to something like "MyCheatCode" and include the "" when you do. Change the 1 to which ever player you want to cheat to work for. SAVE THE FILE!

3. Open up AOM:TT and go to the triggers. Add the condition, and change it's name to something like "Always" or another condition with no boxes to fill out so that it looks normal. Now, add the effects you want to happen when the cheat is activated.

4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for additional cheat codes, your old ones will not be erased or replaced.

xEXOLARx does this work with cheats off online? n does it cause OOS

Yes it works online with cheats disabled and it shouldn't cause OOS.
xEXOLARx ok excelent :) u made a chat contains condition that doesnt oos :)

Well then people could look in your scenario and see the code. This simply helps to disguise it better.

When repeating the steps in editing the .xml again, you must delete ALL files with .XMB for an extension or AOM won't notice the changes.

elvarg_Flame no.. AoM prioritizes .xml over .xmb... deleting your xmb might cause some unwanted problems with your game. :)

Actually with triggers I find that the ONLY way to add new stuff to the triggers is to delete the XMB first or it doesn't see the changes.
xEXOLARx worst mother ****in conditions in aom because it causes Out Of Sync Error and this condition is the best condition that is like chat contain but it is impossible for the editor to find out what triggers your condition unless you say it infront of them.

BTW i tested this online and ITS THE BEST! Ill give you credit in my map that im makin ill make it that it will ac like chat conains but it wont oos so thanks a bunch.

The wierd thing is, Chat Contains never OOSes online for ME, but everyone else it DOES. I dunno why it just does. Plus this new trigger thing makes sure of no OOSes. ;)
