This Map-Pack contains all the original Random Maps created by ES, only they are all twice as big. These were made on request for the user, "mystifier".
You can still play these maps on AoM (vanilla) just not the ones that came TT (chocolate).
If you don't know which maps came with the expansion go here.
I've never bothered asking, but why is it Vanila and Choclate?

Most of the Random Maps from vanilla weren't changed at all when chocolate was introduced, it was basically just a copy and paste job. The maps that where made for chocolate won't be able to played on vanilla, which includes:
Marsh, Highland, Tundra, Islands, Megalopolis and last of all Sudden Death (it was modified).

Hey, it's great! (although I hate it when the computer does not play and sit there, grrr).
However, is it hard to modify? If you could point me in the right direction, I could modify them myself. I'd like much, much larger versions (like 8x or more).
Thanks again KAS.

No, it's really easy to modify. If you want to modify the files so that they are huge, go to the:
"My Documents\My Games\Age of Mythology\RM2"
directory, and open any of my "Large ... .xs" files (make sure you open it in notepad or similar).
Once opened you'll be faced with a whole lot of coding. You're looking for this part of the code:
"
int playerTiles=7500; // NOTE: This is the small map size for each player area
if(cMapSize == 1)
{
playerTiles = 9750; // NOTE: This is the large map size for each player area
rmEchoInfo("Large map");
}
"
The "playerTiles" and the number after it could be different from map to map, but just change the number (up for bigger) after it and you shouldn't run into an error when you ty to play the map.
Please keep in mind that this is for each player, so making it more than about 50000 could lag majorly.
Also keep in mind that the same amount of food and gold will be there, only it will be more spread out (perhaps). Only wood will be found in abundance.
Good luck and thanks for the download :) ~ Khan

Howdy...I am trying to use your map pack but I am having difficulty locating the RMS file told to find to install. Any ideas on another place I can install to zip file?
