Screenshots looked good, although the terrain was plain. Hey, that rhymed :p. Anyway, the way to make terrains more interesting mix different types together. Use size 1 brush mix Grass A, Grass B, and all the other grasses together. Do the same for snow and sand.
Next, trees. You can mix similar trees together like oak and pine, savanah and palm, and pine with pine snow for snow.
Don't make rivers straight, make them naturelike. When I looked at the river I was thinking you should put some lilly pads and perhaps some fish.
Rocks make the scene naturelike and good looking. Make a cluster of big rocks and some small rocks and sprites near it. Also, feel free to add some rocks freely to make the enviornment look good.
Additional Comments: I'm looking forward to the scenario, Swift sword.

Thanks for the tips. I'm new to this eyecandy, terrain miing stuuf :P. I can use all the help I can get. Thanks again, I'll make sure to keep the things you said in mind when I finish it up. |

The eyecandy was good. You could also try messing with elevation. Don't leave a map flat. (Been there, done that).
If you haven't already, make a thread with some screenshots as the forums are visited regularly and you will get lots of tips.
I wish more people would pay attention to my project thread, though. :(
Anyway, good luck! :) |

I've decided to not finish it.
I finished the first version a playtested it online, but the number of units, instructions, and twists made it feel dull. I started to decide to remake the map completely with god powers, more units, and upgrades, but I lost resolve. Sorry, but you can still comment to help me out for my next scenario.
Edit: Never mind! I found an easy shop trigger to help me out when I remake it, which I shall now do. The remade version will have much better eyecandy, godpowers, upgrades, and some extra ways to get gold besides the regular killing :)
Edit: Due to getting a better bigger scen idea, it's once again been canceled, and will liekely not be picked up again untill I finsi hthis other scenario, which'll take a while to do.[Edited on 02/12/09 @ 09:14 PM]
