This mod replaces the Greek's Thracian Peltast with the Greek Peltast from the RTS game Praetorians.
- History and Description -
The Thracian Peltast (which is in AOM by default) was the Greek first attempt to add ranged weapons to their army.
After the battle of Lachaeum even the Spartans understood that a Hoplite-only army weak point is that the enemy
could just throw javelins/arrows and easily outrun the heavily geared hoplites when they charged, thus cracking-up
their formation and decimating their ranks without relevant casualties.
The point of this mod is: Thracian Peltasts look like a clownish version of superman, so i replaced them with a
"noble" version of the Peltast (more accurately called Skirmisher, since they have no more the "pelte",
that crescent shaped, or sometimes moon shaped shield ) which were introduced later in the Greek history.
- Installation -
Put the "anim" and "textures" folders into your Age of Mythology game's directory (by default it is Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Mythology). - Uninstallation -
Go into your Age of Mythology directory and open the "anim" folder,
then delete the "peltast_anim" file, then go in the "textures" folder
and delete the "peltast.ddt" file.

Feel free to use it, claim it your own, throw it from window, use it as a sexual toy, eat it, or whatever you want.
Really, i hate this "OMG THIZ IZ MINE U STOLE IT! CREDIT ME!" thing common beteween game modders, it's pityful.
Cooperation > competitivity, always.
This mod may not be as detailed as a Leto II mod, but i'm a C++ programmer so texturing is not really my Trojan Horse.
