Aurochs Herd

You control a herd of aurochs whose lives are being threatened by enemy units. Destroy them and escape the strange land you are on!

Features Easy, Moderate, Hard, and Titan difficulty levels.

EDIT: If all of your aurochs die, you lose. Since I was unable to program it in at the time, simply restart or resign if the case occurs. Also, if the escape boat is destroyed, this is the same situation.

------------------------------------------------

So, anyway, this is a scenario I made, really just to verify I can make scenarios. In words, I'm new to this and this is more of a test than a serious scenario.

perpetual_n00b Try this for ending your game when the Aurochs herd is killed -

Place your Aurochs herd in an army, create a trigger with condition Army is dead and effect Set Player Defeated

The trouble is, more aurochs get added on. If the original army dies and you still have aurochs left, I don't think that constitutes for a lose.
chimeracranim how about the trigger "All units dead" - Player 1(or whatever player you are)

I also tried that. It only counts humans and myth characters as units, not aurochs.

What I would really like is some sort of "count unit" trigger, where it counts the number of a specific unit that the player has. I would suggest it for the trigger form but being as I am now starting a more serious scenario I don't really care very much.
Secret Condition:
Player unit count
Unit: Auroch
Value: 0
operator:==

Effect:
Set player lost
Player: 1

Thanks Secret.

In fact, I just realized that. Anyway, I'm working on another scenario now, and I'll fix this if I have the time.
Hammerhands Did you play test it?

I mean wow. I tried it twice and lost both times. That tells me one of two thing is true, either I SUCK as a player or there were too many myth units.

A titan are you serious? A titan is tough news! And by the time I got to the last colossus, I had three aurochs left, had to use both meteor and earthquake to try to kill the myth units, but all I did was eradicate the remaining aurochs(Nothing more than I had expected, which is why I only had them at the time). So if I had managed to actually survive the fire giants and the colossus I probably would not have had enough forces to kill the titan.

I liked having the bolt God power though, and the armor improvements were good.

I did though have a problem with movement the second time, all of my aurochs wanted to line up in a little nook between the forest, and water, to let the fire giant kill them. That guy must have killed a good six aurochs.

Plenty of times, winning quite often.

Did you try and kill the units that were hiding off on passages that lead nowhere? I don't recommend you do that, it's unnecessary and quite messy.

Heh, by the time you fight the titan you have 100% hack armor so it basically can't hurt you at all (minus 1 hp every attack). Plus, at the end, you don't even necessarily need to attack the remaining enemies: just get on the boat!

Thanks.

Heh, I had that problem too. But since it's embedded in the game, I found no way to fix it without editing proto.
jumpertje4life if the only controls the herd of aurochs and nothing else, i would say
trigger: active, high priority.
condition: Player Unit Count = 0
Effect: Set Player Defeated: (probably player 1 right?)

It has already been discussed that I will use that method whenever I fix the scenario.

Thanks anyway.
