Become a man, and journey into a land of adventure and mystery

Embark on your journey as Vale, a young boy who is willing to explore the world in search for adventure, and who is about to become a man. Meanwhile, a mysterious being is planning to take over the Apeiron, the strongest force in the universe, for purposes now unkown...


Concept:

This is a single player RPG. The scenario is mostly centered on gameplay, more than eyecandy, for two reasons: It is made for fun gameplay, and to prevent lag (wich in itself supports the first reason).

Gameplay consists of solving puzzles, helping people, doing business and fight to level yourself, finding secrets, dungeons, etc. It is meant to be a simple to play RPG, while still having a deep or complex side, like the leveling mechanics and other features.


Features:

As the scenario is made for fun, the way to play it is simple. The camera always follows you when you're playing, and unlocks you when in cinematics. You can interact with many things just clicking. Talk to people, buy things, examine things, etc.

It is designed to easily progress in the game, find fun chores, find shops, by marking all these in visible ways. As you progress you'll become stronger, gain new abilities, new transportation forms, etc.You can also level yourself at certain points, buy new weapons, and all that stuff. The gameplay is very fluid.

Note that I have been working in the game only for 4 days. Play the demo and let me see what you think about it, that way i can know if it's worth to continue developing the scenario.

* Diferent weapons, that can be changed constantly
* Easy and simple gameplay
* Interesting mechanics for leveling up
* Many towns, dungeons.
* Good storyline

Please note that this is a demo, not the full version, as I started this just a few days ago.

UPDATE: Bugs have been fixed, and lots of eyecandy have been added. Thanks for the advice!

UPDATE: Fixed a big glitch from the new version... in wich you could'nt move the character, becasue I messed up with wich player you are. lol

The map was fun, if a bit tedious. I enjoyed playing it, but the tasks were not interesting enough.

Balance: 5
The fight was nice, and the tasks you were assigned were simple, but still challenging enough to not make it too easy.

Creativity: 5
I liked the camera following your character a lot. The map had a few interseting ideas.

Map Design: 4
The map was fairly lackluster, but it had enough detail to make it interesting. The temple area was quite nice.

Story/Instructions: 4
The story was fairly generic, but not horribly so. Instructions just enough, but spelling errors brought it down to a4.

Was quite fun for the most part. The finding of the pigs got a bit repetitive though, and most of the missions simply required you to walk from one place to another. The combat part was short but i expect more in the full version. The last pig behind the trees i spent half an hour trying to get to but i couldn't. i went through the back path and passed over the secret spot in the rocks but i still couldn't get to it. I had to switch to player 5 with the editor tool and delete the house to get at the pig. Another glitch is that when you talk to the blacksmith instead of saying you need a certificate ones he fulls the chat with spam.

Balance: 3
I took off a bit here because it was not very challenging so far, and there's really no way to lose. All it takes to win the combat part is clicking quickly on the snakes. The only other way i could think of losing would be if someone kept sleeping at the inn until they go broke.

Creativity: 4
Very creative in many ways. I like how the camera follows the main character. The gathering of pigs reminds me of rounding up the chickens in legend of zelda ocarina of time. The mission system makes the game seem less linear (which is a good thing) since you can choose to do them in any order. One suggestion though would be to put more missions than are required to get the money you need. In that way, if a player gets stuck on one they could take another one and carry on with the game avoiding frustration.

Map Design: 4
The embellishments and decorations are nicely done for the most part. One suggestion here is instead of having the patrol walk around the city, making them come and go from outside the gates would make it look more believable. Most things are positioned nicely to make the village seem realistic.

Story/Instructions: 4
Instructions are very clear and the story is decent. One bad thing though is there are some grammatical errors which you should really check for before releasing something like this since it doesn't take much effort and can really add to the quality of the map. For example in one line you spelled "which" as "wich".

Additional Comments:
Very nice work so far although it isn't that great yet, I'll be awaiting the full version which will hopefully satisfy the appetite you have given me in this demo.

Thanks for our reviews. :D The pig bug has been fixed, thanks for the advice Joshonator. Still, the grammar thing is a little difficult to fix because my english is not perfect, but still thanks for the tip.

Now, it wouldn't be a good idea to make the people patrol in and out of the gates, because it would give you the chance to pass even if you're not supposed to, I think.

the playability was great but please do remove the house in front of the last big i also had to change to player five and remove the house

the balance was great,i liked the way the gates wouldn't let you through until you became the swordsman,i did have a little problem at the inn though at first i went there and the guy opened the window but when i went there again it wouldn't open,also for some reason i started as player 5 so i had to change the player.

Creativity: 5.6
the creativity was awesome:its great the way the camera follows you around unlike a few rpg's i have seen and nice names for all the characters though i didn't get the opening movie.

Map Design: 4.7
the map was well designed but you lacked eyecandy but since you said that before you get a 4.7

Story/Instructions: 5.3
i liked the instructions but i couldn't find the journal but i did know what to do most of the times.

Thanks for your review, and the 5.3 lol. Regarding the bugs, the pig one has been fixed removing some trees, and I'm not sure what you mean by the Inn window. Do you mean that it can only be used once? :P

Well, that bug has been fixed too. But if you use it two times, you lose! LOL You're in bankrupt.
VeX_Sino um... there is a huge problem with one of the first missions... with the pigs... up I had 4 of them on me... and they well... the blocked me in and I couldn't move.... AHHH

Oh my! Well, that'd be hard to fix. lol One way to avoid that from happening would be getting the pigs one by one.
