noobyaomplayer presents his first modpack: ak47 in aom
The famous Russian assaust rifle is now in Age of Mythology. This is a detailed model with pretty good texture. this is not a weapon that can be picked up by your hoplites. Rather this is a building. (it replaces the oblisk) intended use-editor/offline
***WARNING: do not use online! as it will f*ck your game up***
after downloading, extract the file
place the DDT file in AoM/textures
place the BRG file in Aom/models
place the anim text in AoM/anim
remove all three files from your AoM folders
Alright, I will only judge this after the model. It replaces a unit that is trainable in game and that isn't really good. make a new unit the next time. But the model is very detailed and propably one of the best models ever made in aom. It's very clear where everything on it is and it seems to be realistic. The texture is awesome. It really looks like an AK-47 (How do I know).
Additional Comments:An excellent mod. Keep up the good work, I have a feeling you will become one of the greatest modders in a long time...

whats the point? make a unit that actualy use it to shoot that would be cool, but why would someone want an AK that is just on the ground?

Well, it has no use, but it's a great model.

sorry to ask this, but as long as we did not edit the protox file, the game can still play online. Am I right? I asked this in modding forum, and they say it can still work online.

It can but only you will see it unless other players have the mod installed as well.

Okay so like, I tried copying the BRG file into AoM/models but all I got was a message saying "Cannot copy ak47_inaom: Files on this CD-ROM Drive are read-only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM Drive." What do I do??
