Hello this is the first scenario i upload in the this forum and i would really like a review of how you liked it. The scenario is about the siege of Chios at 452 BC. The first Athenian alliance was forged at 478 BC and by 452 BC it was reaching its zenith with more than 40 city states as members. The city state of Chios though refused to join the alliance as its tyrrant Periandros was favored by Persian King and his luctrative trade routes. The Athenians wanted full control over the Aegian so they couldn't let a central and big island like Chios at the favor of the Persian monarch thus they sailed to capture it. You are in command of the Athenian forces led by General Antigonos and your goal is to kill Periandros. I hope you like this scenario and i hope for a revew

I loved playing through your scenario. I saw that you decided to be able to pick easy, med, hard, or titan, that’s always a great thing to have.So I went ahead with titan and while I was playing I had to really start my eco up and get some defenses up. that’s always good when you have to do those things, it gets you more into the game. The different missions you had to do such as destroy the statues and collect the relics was also a very nice touch and made scenario very playable.
This was the best part of your scenario, it had perfect balance. If you think your not that good playing the game you could always pick easy which was a fun smooth game play. But if you’re a good player and you want a challenge, titan would be a very good match for you. I did have to start the game again since I got murdered by the field army, but if you play the original titans campaign on titan you always had to start again so that you could get used to the map. Overall very good balance, very good balance indeed.
I can only give a 4 because a lot of the stuff was done before. It was a classic campaign type map but that also doesn’t mean it wasn’t creative. The part with the relic monkeys and the relic was pretty funny and creative. And the food, gold, and wood villages that gave you tribute was creative also.
Map Design: 5
It wasn’t stunning eyecandy but it suited the map very well. You mixed your terrains well and did a nice job on the different villages. You also didn’t make plain roads you put rocks on the outline to make it look more realistic. Another trick to make good roads are to put limestone spirits on the road to make it look even more realistic.
The reason I gave you a 4 in story and instructions was because the objectives could have explained more. The story was great on the other hand but you could have added some more tips. Because I had trouble with the field army because I didn’t know where they came from, you could have put some flags or revelers so that you knew from what way they came from. I also didn’t know what to do with the relics. I thought you had to put them together, but in the end you only had to put them in the temple(it was so simple it was complicated :p).
Additional Comments: Altogether I could see you worked very hard on this scenario. I am going to remember this one for a long time. I might even play it again some time which increases the replay value a lot. I really hope that you continue to make scenarios so that we can play more of them. And when you do make another scenario or continue with this one(and you will) Ill be here to review it.
PS: you should come over to the scenario design forums and showcase any scenarios that you would like to make in the future.
I gave the playability a four as it was playable and was fun. I liked the different objectives you put and how everything joined together. The only thing that let it down was building up wasn't too fun. I wouldn't have thought that you would have to build up if you had a huge army from Athens....
The balance is a five as the difficulty levels were perfect. I played on moderate and then started on titan. The waves you sent were good. I enjoyed playing on both levels. Anyone can play which makes it extremely good.
The creativity was a moderate as you got this from a period in history and had to recreate it. I thought it was pretty creative, but putting a hoplite's name (Zethos) from the AOM campaign made me think you didn't have the facts right.
Map Design: 4
The map design was quite nice, not overdone and not too sparse. There were random flowers scattered everywhere which added to the map. Nothing really stood out. You could have tried making the palace a bit better like mixing buildings.
This was where you really stood out. You told the story perfectly and the instructions were well-made. I enjoyed playing and understood what to do perfectly. I liked the hints you gave, such as where you had to destroy the statues you explained why. There was a little trouble with some bits, but I found out what to do.
Great scenario. You deserve high ratings as this is a good scenario. It's worth the download.
