Playability: 5
Great scenario again, congrats. There were just a few errors. The playability was good and would have been perfect as I rated it. But you start off as player 1 not player 2. I would reccomend fixing and updating as soon as possible. I enjoyed playing this one more as it had more variation. Everything slotted in together nicely and I didn't find any bugs.
Balance: 4
This was a part I wasn't sure about. It was too easy. Apart from the starting point, I won very easily. My base did not get attacked once. The trade caravans came too frequently and gave too many resources. But the enemy's bases were decked out well which brought the balance rating back up. I also wanted to point out that in the fourth age you could build a titan gate...... I wouldn't think Greeks would access to that :) Edit: I recently checked and saw that you had disabled titan gate and wonder if it's a bug. I would recommend trying to fix.

There were way too many spelling mistakes! It makes the scenario seem very unprofessional. But the rest of the creativity was thoroughly well done and I enjoyed the story. Just wondering, is it really true that a captain and some men captured six colonies? Very interesting if it is.
Map Design: 4
Map design was good again. Can't really comment much on it as it was pretty much perfect. I brought it down to a four as I didn't see anything which stood out. Nice work putting stones next to the road. Made it look good.
Story/Instructions: 5
I'm enjoying following this story a lot and can't criticize anything you're doing. The objectives were pretty much perfect. I always knew what I was doing so it was good. I liked how you made the donkey's keep appearing, just make the time till they come a little longer. Also, the donkeys' stopped moving after a while.
Additional Comments:
Never knew Zethos meant beer. :)
Keep up the good work. Bring out the next soon.
I find it amazing how much you put yourself in it. You seem like you want your name to be known :P[Edited on 07/07/09 @ 03:14 AM]

Thanks for the review charlie i appreciate it. I don't know what you mean about starting as player 1, you are supposed to start as player 1. If it was a spell mistake and you meant that i start as player 2 then ill look into it. About the ai not attacking i just realized that i forgot to put ai revealers in your base so the AI knows where you are or otherwise it doesn't attack. Thanks for the donkeys i will reduce the resources for a more balanced effect. About the titan im pretty sure that i forbid him probably it got bugged. The donkeys are supposed to stop comming after you destroy the brigant bases. Did they stop earlier than that? If yes plz tell me so ill check it. Hystoricly the expedition wasnt lost and there were no captain with their men trying to find them thats just some small details i added to make the game more enjoyable. |

Oh ok. After I destroyed the donkeys' they still appeared, but did not move. And yes, I meant to say that I started off as player 2 not player 1, I guess I can't criticize your spelling mistakes :). I saw in editor that you had forbidden titan gate and was very surprised that I was able to build it. Perhaps a bug... |

Playability: 5
This was one of the best scenarios that I played in awhile. I loved the location you started at, it was a good defensible position but it wasn’t a position where you just had to defend one area , which would have been to easy :). The attacks where wonderful since you really had to have a combination of units to take out the different type of Norse units. You couldnt spam archers or they would just walk in and slaughter them, you couldn’t spam myth (which I did to beat some of the titans campaign levels)because of the Hersirs, so what im trying to say is great playability!
Balance: 5
Wonderful Balance, I see you still had easy-Titan and they all were more challenging that the last and that’s good. Also the way you made the map and the starting resources in your area made you spread out and not cramp up in the corner until you have a big enough army to kill the savages , that made you think even harder and work faster in order to win, that made it a very balanced game.
Creativity: 4
The reason you didn’t get a 5 is because there wasn’t any mind blowing trigger work in this or any special things you have to do. You just had to build the 6 town centers and you win, now the good thing about that was you got to pick your course to finish the map, So you had a lot of freedom. The most creative thing was the story, how you had to save the colonists and help them make their villages I never played a scenario like that.
Map Design: 5
The map was done very well, It wasn’t the best stuff I’ve ever seen but it goes well with the game play You don’t want super lush forests and rough terrain or you wouldn’t have been able to build anywhere, . I really liked the starting town on the water and also the cave was done very nice.
Story/Instructions: 5
The Story was great! You put good animations in the begging cinematic to make it look real and you had a great idea of putting the colonists in there, which was never done before (or at least I’ve never seen a scenario with colonists). The follow up story was also great, its like you went right from The siege of Chrios to this one. The instructions were very neat and didn’t give away to many tips, perfect instructions in my opinion.
Additional comments: Overall Great scenario, you earned those scores and you should be proud of this scenario. I hope that you continue this campaign ( and I know you will ;)) so that I can review some more of your work.
PS: You should go over to the scenario design forums and talk about your campaign, mabey what your going to do next or show some screenies so that people get interested and download more of your maps. |

You still spelled a few things wrong. And it would've been nice if you ended a few sentences (they seemed like run-ons to me, but it could just be me). Like you spelled "relic" as "rellic", for example. But no worries, didn't take away from the fun. :3 |
