This is an epic project. Two key points are made with it. One, newbies and newer people will (hopefully) learn how to use triggers and create some other effects. Two, for advanced designers and those proficient with triggers, this will be a great help for reminding how to make cool factors, and probably even new ones.
IT IS FINALLY DONE! COMBINATION EFFECTS EXPANSION HAS BEEN RELEASED!
If you have downloaded Combination Effects before the date of 26th September 2009, then re download it now. This is the new Combination Effects Expansion, there are many new features. Parts of the map have been fixed, mainly typos and problems. The main part is that many text files are also included with it now, that show you some awesome trigger effects, and help you with some triggers.

Oh, and one more thing. If you rate my file or just comment on it, don't you dare give Combination Effects a lower score or opinion because something didn't work right for you or there were bugs. I swear to you, every bit of it is working right, there are no bugs whatsoever. If you think so and something happened that made you think that, you either just aren't smart enough to see how small of an impact it had, or I meant for it to happen. Also, the readme tells you everything to do, if you don't follow it exactly, then you messed it up, not me. |

Rating: 4.5
I really liked this guide and it was well made overall, but a few things wasn't perfect, therfore I can only give you a 4.5!!!EDIT!!!Since you now edited it I can sure give you a 5.0...:. In the first chapter I think the dialouges went by too fast!!!EDIT!!!Not any more, excellent., and you didn't really explain the usage of triggers. However, most parts of the scenario was really helpfull and intresting, like the different uses of the transform trigger you shown, or the anty gravity effects. The cinematic and special effects was really nice and it explained both basics and andvanced cinematic features. I think the AI chapter wasn't that nice since it really didn't explain mutch and the battle wasn't intresting to play at all. But overall, a really good guide that will help a lot of people.
GREAT! This guide is really usefull for new people and then it gets more and more advanced. It deserves the score I'm now giving it. (Before I edited this review it was a 4.8).
Additional Comments: Good work, just needs a few tiny improvements...

Well;, Thanks for the reveiw swift. Although its the same as your first review, so the things that could have changed for you from the first review arent told. Like weather effectss? Oh and by the way, how did you like them? I myself enjoyed them quite much, and thats in a modest tone, seeing as i made them. (lol) And well, i did not tell you where the pause button it on the keyboard, becuase, i thought it was common knowlege, and computers are not all the same, so it could have not been the same spot for you as for me.
Now also, thank you very much for the kind review guard of olympus. Arrggh, I still have a 4.8, but I will try harder then. And thanks much again, it was a generous review. And for the opponent AI, we all have our own preferences, but it involved all of the basic factors normally shown in the game. For the dialogue, i do agree, it was hard for me too. But as I told you many times in the game and in the reeadme, you must make use of chat history to re read things. And overall, explaining many trigger funtions are difficult ingame, although this was made in a scenario to show you them in action. But as I say, I shall be making a few text documents for a reading to show you how to use triggers and make some of the effects. I can say basic trigger functions explained at the start of the scenario will be included, transform, and antigrav will all be made to text to better explain. Perhaps if i wish to make this a bigger thing, I shall make word documents with pictures making this project a huge effort. But I shall include all the above things, and an ending cinematic giving credit to the helpers, in the dowsnload when i finish them. It shall be an expansion pack. SO STAY TUNED AND CHECK BACK HERE CONSTANTLY wink wink |

Perhaps I should edit my review...
The weather effects were beautiful indeed. And, to give you an idea of what I learned...
How a cinematic works (I sorta knew, but was confused)
The NOT and OR in conditions
How to get villagers to do stuff (I've tried using Set Animation in the past, but could never get it to work with something like mining gold...)
The weather effects (beautifully put together)
Fading out (always looked cool in Create a Hero...)
Edit: Ack! Accidently Hit "post comment" before I meant to ;)
AIs are simpler than you'd think...
A bit more about the "Transform" trigger
More about the "Anti-Grav" trigger (although I still think you could've put that part together better...)
All I can think of right now, but I'm quite sure I learned more than that. Oh, and a bit about Hotkeys ;P[Edited on 09/11/09 @ 06:29 PM]

Hey everyone. I would like to personally thank each and every one of the people who helped make this project become real and what it is today. And thank you very much for the high quality reviews i received, and all the people who downloaded this helpful file. I hope you learned something new, and use them to make a scenario that I could possibly enjoy. And maybe some people only read the comments, so I am posting this to say that the COMBINATION EFFECTS EXPANSION PACK IS OUT. Re download this to have completely tweaked and perfected game play in the scenario, a whole new ending cinematic, and a clutter bunch of text files really explaining triggers. |
